something on april 30th would be HEAVENLY, and i think more likely than something in mid may if the release date is supposedly june 1st unrelated but i know i probably won't be listening to any singles/snipppets or watching any mvs or mv teasers until the album is released. i prefer going into her albums not having consumed much media about it and watching the mvs far after listening to the songs so i get my own idea of what they're like visually. with my favorite albums of hers i got into the visuals a while after they were released, hearing the music without singles or any additional info/visuals is the ideal experience for me! i don't want to leave the prerelease thread though so i'll probably have some sense of the album beforehand, i'm not a strict purity enforcer person, i just need to wait for my own enjoyment

i'm trying to convince myself i'd be okay if this was folky.... but i know deep down i'd be disappointed holding out hope and manifesting intensity

i think part of the reason i haven't listened to cocc that much (excessively) is because she's already moved on and is dragging me with her, we're just waiting for rcs which, informed by past experiences, will either not come june 1st or never come at all

obviously i don't disagree with wanting equality and i kind of see what you're saying, honestly i just want this thread to die for now so but not forcing discussions about gender or race doesn't really seem smart to me, since i feel that a lack of acknowledgement, even if it's forced acknowledgement, feeds ignorance, which then feeds the unconscious and conscious creation and perpetuation of unequal/inequitable systems but again i just want this thread to take a nice long nap like sleeping beauty until lana posts a hot photo on her story and wakes it up like the prince's kiss
