She’s been following Jack for a while(at least since the Karma remix came out), but I noticed that Bella Hadid started following Lana too. I guess a lot of people found out about Lana’s account after Kim’s post.

You said she booked the show and made it sound like she was the one that asked to play a show there. I didn’t say anything about her not knowing where she would be playing. Obviously no one on her team thought about the backlash they would receive or they would have never announced the show in the first place. This is coming from someone who thinks that she was wrong for signing that letter.

Kind of doubt that Lana was the one booking her concerts. She has a tour manager that is in charge of that.

Kind of wish she was working with Big Thief or the guy who produced Mitski’s last album since she is going the Americana/folk/country route. They found a way to make that sound fresh and interesting. The guy she is working with now just seems like a boring choice.

Most of his previous songwriting credits don’t inspire that much confidence, so I wouldn’t be mad if this was just a one off track.

It’s only been like an hour and this new producer/songwriter guy has already been canceled.

If she is in Nashville and working on country music, she should just call Dan Auerbach. He produced one of Nikki Lane’s albums a few years ago.

She’s so funny actually. People are calling her a boring Coachella headliner choice right now and the first thing she does is tease another slow song.

I was about to say the same. They set her up with that lineup. I’m still excited to see what she does as a headliner though.

There was a video of them where he was grabbing onto her waist(I want to say this was when she at the Malibu fair over a year ago), so I think that’s when the rumors first started. Also I’m pretty sure a few people saw them holding hands on a couple of other occasions. I’m more interested in knowing who told Billboard that they were engaged though. I feel like that had to come from someone close to her.

He gave Kacey Musgraves a #1 hit last year so it wouldn’t be the worst thing.

I don’t think he is one of the problematic country artists but yeah overall his music is country/folk/singer-songwriter. He and Lana actually follow each other on Instagram, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they did a song together some day.

It went toward Zach Bryan probably. He is actually very popular in the US. He is even doing stadium shows in some cities(I’m guessing that is why he is billed above Lana). But yeah the lineup overall is pretty bad.

Instagram will put accounts on your feed that the people that you follow are following so that is probably how it ended up on her feed.

We prepare for QFTC part 2. I hate that it’s not that unlikely that she could lose all the categories though. Taylor or SZA could easily win SOTY(I could see Billie winning this as well since they love her) and AOTY. At least one of the alternative categories should be a lock but she had the bad luck of competing against boygenius who have a crazy amount of industry support(like Taylor Swift, SZA, Billie, and even Joan Baez) right now. I’m still hopeful that she will win at least one though(either Best alt performance or best pop duo).

Did it surprise him because not many people are voting for the album or what does this mean?

If you look back at previous years, no album that has ended up #1 on there has won AOTY at the Grammys, so it doesn’t necessarily mean they will win. I do think that they are taking Best alt album though.

I think those are the glasses you wear to protect your eyes when you are at things like shooting ranges.

A&W seems to be doing a lot better than the album as a whole on these lists. Since I know that she cares about critical acclaim, I hope that this encourages her to make more songs like that and less songs with minimal production in the future.

Lana’s comments are going be filled with snake emojis when swifties find out about this.

It’s crazy that they gave the album a 6/10 when it came out.

Guts is a solid album. I think the boygenius album is the one that is overhyped here. It’s not that interesting and doesn’t really present anything new to the indie genre.

Stereogum did the same thing. Ocean Blvd has actually missed some pretty big lists so far. Definitely not as strong as NFR was among end of year lists but that was to be expected.

Maybe I just missed it, but where did she say that she plans on releasing a covers album? This is the only thing I saw about a standards album “As such, she has plans to write an album of standards — classic, simple songs that could reach even more people than she does now”. This sounds like she is planning on writing songs similar to those covers to me.
