Just finished my first listen to this album to see what the hype is all about, it's not the worst thing ever but tbh this album is overwhelming and hard to get through the whole thing, this is my first experience with tate's music but she doesnt offer me anything about what makes her her, I dont see what separates her from artists, she lacks her own voice during this whole record. There are some okay moments here and there but generally, this album feels like she's imitating all these pop icons and their sounds instead of showing us there's only one tate mcrae, the songs reminds me of Ariana (à la Positions era - the boring bland ass trap sounds), Charli xcx (the autotune), Dua Lipa (debut), Britney (her cadence), Camila (c,xoxo), Tinashe, Victoria Monet, etc...It's like you heard the album once and thats enough, if you want the same vibes, you just play the original artists instead of this album. Some of my favs are: Better than I was, Purple lace bra, greenlight, nostalgia i do know songs like One Day, its a shame that this vibe isnt in the album when it's 100% better than what i've heard so far.

It's an okay song, i'm not saying it's trash but it's not her best effort, i know she can do better than this. But i love the melody composition of the song, actually reminds me of classic marina and the diamonds the lyrics is just casual rhyming, nothing special about it, let's hope it's just a fun cute vibe for a lead single, the hook is obnoxious but i can see it has a potential viral moment on social medias, the album might have more substance & depth than this song. And i appreciate the fact that this song has a 4:26 length despite being released the middle of an era full of Tiktok length 1-2 minute length songs. Let's just celebrate that she just drops new music guys, dont be so hard on her - like its just the lead yall need to chill

I never hated Artpop once in my life. It's such a monumental work and an opportunity for us to explore her mind, she literally said "free your mind - artpop" but these people werent ready to be free back then i guess But anyways, we deserve Partynauseaus, Bitch don't kill my vibe feat. Kendrick Lamar and Red Flame / ratched feat. Azealia Banks instead of Jewels n drugs, this song really weightened down Artpop for me.
