I fall..to pieces, pieces, pieces When I read this thread.

I love it when people assume all celebrities are the same stereotype, sigh. Ben reads this forum, and there's at least ten posts of people calling up Targets ALONE. Let alone HMV, independent stores, other US stores I don't know the names of. We don't really know anything about what was going on with the magazine dates because all of them were so different. I think we can just assume that they were mess-up's on the magazines behalfs. I assume things like "coming spring" were assumptions rather than confirmations. No, we treated them like shit, they gave us shit back, stop pretending we did nothing. It's petty from all sides. She clearly does a lot of this for us. I can't blame her for wanting to make a bit of money consider, you know, it's her job and livelihood. I wouldn't want to go to work and make no money? She does a lot for us. More than other artists at least. She meets fans and signs things at every show, she's alway so nice in public and has never had any outbursts and generally she's never publically been dicks to fans. She cares. But if a lot of you guys were my fans, I'm not sure how I could compared to her.
-
Duuuude. Don't do that. Despite what you're currently training yourself to think, she does actually care. Her work would have changed a long time ago if she were a sell out. You can't rush people into making art. We all just need to give her space. There's no point making statements we can't take back.
-
And what about our reputation? Harassing literally so many people at this point. @everyone please stop pretending we've all done nothing. It's easier to rationalise the situation in your head that way.
-
People can be unhappy with Lana, I think we'd just appreciate them losing their shit over real problems and not Lana's team being pissed off at us for harassing them? Like, I think it's justifiable.
-
That's the thing though, no one actually said May. Literally no one. Even "Spring" was just another magazines and magazines had every date under the sun. So, no, we can't blame them for our assumptions and then harass them into giving us a date, getting angry when it's "amateur" and harassing them again. If I were Lana I would hate my fans my god.
-
It's his Instagram account, in fairness, he doesn't owe us shit in terms of professionality.
-
Like, I'm so sorry if I offend anyone, but you guys (plus me a bit no lies there) have kind of treated her team like shit the past couple of days. Despite the fact the May date was debunked around 20 MILLION times you're all still a bit pissed off it's not coming today. Over the past few days, this forum has - Harassed multiple record stores that know nothing - Harassed Ben's Instagram - Harassed interviewers that can't say anything - Harassed Ben more - Continued to harass Ben Then Lana FINALLY drops the date and all you guys do is call them rude, uncaring assholes? Like come on, I usually reserve using the term "get a grip" but really? You guys harassed them into submitting the date then ACTUALLY GOT PISSED OFF WITH THE WAY IT WAS DELIVERED. DO SOME OF YOU LISTEN TO YOURSELVES. She said "fam"! That's so rude! We're her fans!!! Why is she being so UNPROFESSIONAL! She's not. You guys are being so rude harassing everyone under the sun and then pissed off when she posts the most neutral tweet about the date ever. No wonder Ben is fucked off with some of the bratty attitudes. Some of you are literally pissed off at the fact she used the word fam. That is kind of pathetic. I mean, I'll take credit for things like also commenting on Ben's Instagram but for god sake, we have the date, I don't care if you're not happy WHEN the date is, we HAVE the date, some of you are literally pissed off about the fact she GAVE US THE DATE basically, because it wasn't the way YOU wanted her to announce it. She made this album for us. Can we PLEASE be a bit more grateful. I know a lot of people say she doesn't owe us and we don't owe her but she went out the way to make this album for us and some of you guys are throwing EVERYTHING back in her face. It's so uncalled for.

Really? It sounds like Auerback's guitar? Who was on guitar then, Blake?
-
Lmao soz, my phone seems to hate RN. Autocorrect heaven.
-
Not really. The songs were baseless. I'm sorry, but Rick throwing all the shit Dan made together in a recording studio isn't exactly talent to be honest. Ultraviolence wasn't production heavy, it never was. For example, BB before and after it made the album. There was very little there to begin with, so when Dan added the drums and guitar it changed the entire chorus drop. I would prefer Dan's version over Rick's any day. If you imagine songs like AFFA, JFK and Hollywood with Dan's style they probably become 20x better. From those songs alone, there wasn't much. Not as highly produced as BTD or HM.
-
By like four points but I mean collectively as it was mixed reception by fans.
-
The UV outtakes speak for themselves. It's wasn't a desert/psychedelic album before. Before there was a lack of instruments (and ultimately just a lack of heavy production. The outtakes were clearly missing things like guitars, drums and "fuzz".
-
Nowels obviously gave her a platform but let's get real, Dan Auerbach was the reason UV was such a success and was the man behind one of her most successful recent albums and not only that but the album with not only the best fan reception but also the best critical reception.
-
How every topic goes >Lana announces or does something >half the forum hates it (and are low-key bratty) >other half of the forum calls them bratty (and are low-key extra) >first half calls them extra and tries to defend their bratty opinions >second half defends their extra opinions >repeat

She collabs are finished/in mixing. She's not discussed any specific collaborations at the moment. Ben said it would be announced when the album is finished so it's probably finished.
-
Or it just means she wants to refine/add more. There's nothing wrong with that. And it's not just collabs the album was pushed back for, and we'll never truly know (bar what's already confirmed) what it was pushed back for. Could have been pushed back for songs like Cherry. She's clearly bothered if she would put off the entire collection for the sake of refinement.
-
She obviously has a very clear direction for the album. In reality, fans are just too precious about Lana's legacy. I've said it a billion times in this thread: This kind of stuff doesn't cheapen her. It means she's looking for more artistic vision, input and sound for the new album. All legendary artists collaborate at some point. A persons legacy doesn't need to solely be their own work. We've not even heard any of the collabs (bar weeknd) and we're already judging that the album has "no direction"? Really? Most artists you know collaborate at some point. Just because she has a lot of collaborations doesn't mean it's a bad album, the best way to explain this is super groups. Super groups obviously feature a range of different collaborations by iconic artists, but they rarely fail. John Paul Jones, Dave Grohl, Josh Homme = Them Crooked Vultures Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker = Cream Chris Cornell + Pearl Jam = Temple of the Dogs Alex Turner, Miles Kane, James Ford = The Last Shadow Puppets Even Abba were a super group. So guess what? Lots of contrasting artist input to one album doesn't make it a bad album. I wish people would just hold out and, you know, listen to the music?
-
Oh yeah, makes sense.
-
Why definitely Borns? People freaked out too much over an emoji.
-

Yeah, so she'll probs be earlier. Also, we see you snakey fucks @bbc

Depends on time zone obviously. I'd say expect 6:30 onwards British time. Is she a headliner? Or is she lower down the list?
