  1. I've started getting into films more in the last 2 years so i have a lot of catching up to do. I've always loved watching movies but i haven't formed a solid preference in directing styles or directors yet.

I really like sci-fi in general and i think that  Denis Villeneuve did a really good job in directing Dune and Blade Runner 49 though.

For my favorite actors i would say: Saoirse Ronan , Anya Taylor-Joy , Carey Mulligan, Keanu Reeves, Viola Davis , Nick Robinson , Chloë Grace Moretz

also i want to thank everyone for not getting aggressive n allowing a more negative discussion to take place. i love lana so dearly. ive been a fan since Paradise n would never actually hate on her or spread negativity about her. but its nice to talk about our different opinions

it's so crazy to me that we are sometimes afraid of making more critical comments on Lana's music. I've done it as well, I've avoided adding more negative commentary because i thought that by being more critical  i wouldn't sound like a ''true fan''. It sounds so childish ik.

I think that due to loving her work so much we are bound to make these comments ( in a civil way ofc)

  3. I've really been thinking about this part in Fingertips: It wasn't my idea, the cocktails of things that twist neurons inside

    But without them i'd die

She is talking about mental health right? I interpret it as a way to say that it's not our fault that our brains are made in certain ways prone to a specific way of thinking and reacting. The way we act, feel and think is a result of our brain chemistry . I love how she sings this part as well.

  4. I think that we can all agree that commenting on Lana's music is one of the reasons this forum exists. I really like it when we all talk about our opinions and different perspectives in a civil way . So I don't think that we should dismiss talking about these subjects . I really like to see how everyone is interpreting the new album and her older work.

Candy Necklace is a copy and paste, by the numbers, low effort snooze fest. It sounds like a discarded demo from 2012, so it's not a surprise that the fans like it so much. But the fact that she went into the studio with Jon Batiste and came out with this is hilarious.

I think that your dislike towards the song mainly stems from the fact that this masterpiece of a song wasn’t produced by jack :oopna:

"You wanted me sadder,” she sadly, sadly breathes on a sad little song about a man sadly not turning up for a date, and I wonder if there is anyone on earth who really does want her sadder? Indeed, is it possible to be any sadder than Lana Del Rey in a blue mood?"

oh i just know he is an incel :air:

    Literally

that sounds just disrespectful and not like a music review at this point..

It’s me, hi :wave2: JON BATISTE INTERLUDE #1 STAN

I don’t know there’s something about this interlude that makes me feel like I’m watching a private moment of someone’s life on film. I love so much Lana’s laugh in this and Jon’s singing + the instrumentals might be my favourite of the whole record :hair: I’ve had this interlude on loop all morning

So true!  it pairs so well with candy necklace too

I'm totally in love with both of the songs

also I think that their voices pair so well :trisha:
