  1. finally some good fucking merch
  2. someone posted a video of a therapist reacting to a&w and she interpreted the cartwheel line as the loss of innocence, because when women are just girls, they don't care if their shirt or their dress lifts up when they're doing a cartwheel, but as they get older, they lose that carefreeness and innocence because of the sexualization that society inflicts. it actually made me appreciate that first line way more
  3. are the 3 last songs all traps beats though? cause i remember kintsugi saying a&w ends with a trap beat and i don't really agree, is it the same type of beat?
  4. when they heard the rosemead exclusive baby version of candy necklace... now that's glitch pop!
  5. i'm so glad even after it leaked candy necklace still remains a mystery until the 24th... iconic lore if you ask me
  6. honestly these reviewers just have to think of different ways to describe a song with the most unused words in the dictionary and "glitch pop" was what they thought worked
  7. "People go to the toilet missing entire tracks, twiddle thumbs, scribble notes. We listen once, and leave to give it a rating and comment on its merit." and i wonder why they're not giving it 5/5s...
  8. they just like lana playing safe i guess. what are the magazines that usually hand out 5/5s?
  9. i'm listening to 1 lana album a day until ocean blvd drops and i was waiting until put me in a movie was over. for me it's her most unsettling song
  10. can't say anything about peppers or taco truck before listening to them but a&w EASILY has one of her best melodies, the first part could be bare piano and i would eat it up because the melody does all the work (something i cannot say for songs like beautiful or violets for roses, per example). just because a song doesn't follow your standard 3-minute tune structure doesn't mean that it's not good, quite the opposite atleast with miss american whore
  11. ok then. just think that calling other people's descriptions about a song "embarrassing" is a bit too much
  12. honestly i'm so jealous of fans who have no idea this place exists because although i do love it here imagine listening to a new lana album having only heard the singles beforehand. no track descriptions, no snippets, no lyric teases, no lq leaks, a simpler time...
  13. he didn't even listen to it he listens to the music that was released along the week in his new music friday livestream
  14. the last 3 songs are upbeat and fun, if anything she's closing the chapter she began with blue banisters and is ready to take more creative risks in the following years of her career. like jack antonoff said, “She’s reached a point in her work, which is really my favourite place to work from, where there’s nowhere to go but way out into the fucking wilderness artistically. Go chase radio? That’d be so stupid. Go chase trends? So stupid. She created all the trends. It’s a freeing place, if you can accept it. The only place to go is to be a leader.”
