  1. ngl this is the worse thing i've ever read lol + lana would never write "if life is like a blank canvas, can we write the next chapter?"
  2. my album title rankings: 1. ultraviolence (its meanings... the literary allusion... the controversy... genius) 2. honeymoon 3. chemtrails over the country club 4. born to die 4. norman fucking rockwell! 5. blue banisters (low bc i'm yet to fully understand it. awaiting the album ) 6. lust for life (would be #1 if it was the original concept w lust for life demo 1 etc. - the album title would be ICONIC if we had to question whether "lust for life" was cynical sarcasm)
  3. @Surf Noir @Diamantes WILD @COCC idk if you have already answered earlier in this thread but i'm so curious about your answers to this
  4. blue banisters (single) will literally be one of her most treasured, legendary tracks she also purposefully released them "quietly" - i don't think the trio were ever meant for mass consumption or at the v least, it would be strange to heavily market them. they just seem so private. and i'm reminded about the way textbook and wildflower wildfire are still hard to find on spotify lol (seemingly on purpose?) but if the three are included in ldr8, i am curious about where and how they slip into the album tracklist
  5. ...................it's tuesday 2nd november 2021, caitlyn jenner receives embarrassingly low votes in the californian gubernatorial election, ARCADIA is released to universal acclaim for its poignant perspective on life as a sober serene queen, and we all see a glimpse of ever unattainable world peace but feel more motivated to work towards it shut up, gimme what you got you can buy my hot supersonic pop goin' down, down, take you down to paradise
  6. switching between paradise by ldr and california by lorde - two sides of the same coin imo lol
  7. does anyone know what day lana usually/historically releases on?
  8. given that lana's body is very literally LA's geography and lorde's 'california' is all about how she DOESN'T want that california love... lorde deserves it
  9. i also really doubt there will be greek mythology involved - i feel like it will lean more on the interpretation of arcadia as a sort of idyllic, edenic paradise. i hope she further explores the concepts in gods & monsters and references john milton's paradise lost poem again! philosophy grad lana is back
  10. ...................manifesting a rework of her hyperpop avant-garde magnum opus 'paradise' on ldr8

    Song vs. Song

The Blackest Day (demo) vs Cola
  12. what's the status on thunder + cherry blossom and their inclusion on ldr8? did any insiders confirm it?
  13. NFR title track is one of the most important songs of lana's career! we NEED to understand its evolution i also just fucking love her introspective lyrics and the interesting melodies she comes up with so
  14. surf noir, president of lanaboards, starting the meetings and negotiations
  15. this is a quote from women who run w wolves (bc i read it lol) that might be interesting to u guys when thinking about "arcadia" and its meanings: “All humans want to attain early Paradise here on earth. The problem is that ego desires to feel wonderful but a yen for the paradisical, when combined with naíveté, makes us not fulfilled, but food for the predator.”
  16. leak garden of eden if the single is titled 'arcadia' challenge
  17. manifesting HIGH CONCEPTS and an album release around halloween to really play with ideas of fantasy and mythology and ground them in a pastoral reality
