when i heard it for the first time, i was very confused and didnt like it. but i also forgot it was the opener and i think no other track could be. something about the „im gonna take mine of you with me“ is so powerful and i feel like connects to a lot of the album. the song in general has grown a lot on me i feel like i ~get it~ now. generally im a fan of the „spoken“ parts throughout the album … even judah smith interlude for some inexplicable reason

alright guys i need to hear ur opinions on this - this person i know made a whole ass powerpoint presentation on why they think ppl should not listen to tunnel and it was very bad and cringe but essentially they said: lana romanticizes abusive relationships, looks down on other women and is a bad feminist. and what got me: she doesnt provide any productive „solutions“ on feminist questions. and that was it. like i cant with this interpretation of her art its not a fucking instruction on how to be a feminist or navigate the hardships of being a woman and its also nothing we‘ve never heard like its getting BORING!! so im intersted in what yall have to say about this „perspective“ and how you would respond to that.

okay so my immediate thoughts after my first listen: i feel like this album is so personal in a way and she kind of let loose with her lyricism, it feels very much like a stream of consciousness at times? which i like, it does give it an experimental edge. live for the production & melodies, its so quintessentially her but i feel like shes breaking boundaries and barriers within her own cosmos. its beautiful but there are some skips for me personally, maybe theyll grow on me idk. listening again now but without the grants, judah smith interlude, kintsugi, fingertips & margaret. also peppers is so incredibly good never knew i needed this collab. lana rly thrives on these more dancey tracks with a good collab.

ugh when dead petz dropped out of nowhere that was such a moment i remember walking alone at the beach listening to 1 sun it was so beautiful… i have yet to discover an album that comes close to giving me the feeling that dead petz does… i wish she would make music like this still today but i know dead petz only could exist then at that point in her life its something i have to come to terms with. also wasnt there this creepy old guy around her that was a bad influence or sth?
