just got my copy of rolling stone mag and as such: i would like to express my gratitude to those of you who have held my hand through this time of great need: to my family and friends who have done so much for me and to get me where i am today; to myself for my earnestness and dedication; and most importantly, to my lord and saviour, elizabeth 'lana del rey' grant

can i honestly just say that although i can see why they might, i really hope people don’t just hear the word ‘whore’ and the trap beat and just completely ignore the social commentary of the lyrical content, because this is possibly her most culturally relevant song since the greatest

also it’s hardly a ‘big orchestra’ like dykttatuob or some of the stuff on honeymoon, but a majority piano ballad with quiet orchestral elements imo

i wouldn’t call it her best song ever but all this hate really does confuse me. the instrumental is absolutely stunning…

the grants very well could be the single as opposed to a&w, seeing as cruel world is her only opener to not be a single of any sort
