I agree. Screw pitchfork and all, but they'll likely take the time to try and understand the interludes (doesn't mean they'll like them) and aren't going to be scared away by the more challenging parts of the album. They will though find something to bitch about - with this album though, just not sure what.

Maybe at the time she was knee deep in that discarded track that @Kintsugi discussed... "Initially, there was another song recorded for the album that got replaced by Candy Necklace. It fits right between these two interludes because of it's wild and unhinged nature. Candy Necklace is way more accessible which is why they decided to switch these songs. I guess the former song will be used in the future but I wouldn't count on it too much, she's screaming in the chorus and the lyrics are almost inaudible."

I don't think any store has been charging, as far as I know, just some do have limited space. Each store seems to be handling it their own way though, so I'd check directly with them. My store, for example, isn't doing tickets.

Ask your local store, they may not be needed.

I'm sure it depends on the store. I'd be shocked if more than 5 people show up to mine.

Personally I wouldn't have this be my first listening experience, so I'm going to listen tonight and then go get some swag and listen with other Lana fans on Wednesday. One of the listening parties in my area is at a crowded mall, so no thanks. I'll be at one in a tiny record store ,in a tiny town, should be nice.

They "have since spoken with Lana's team"....I get a party! ....

I highly recommend contacting your local store to confirm how they're handling the event. It's clear not all locations are doing tickets, but it seems likely if they expect a large crowd and could run short on space. I mentioned it earlier, but while all 7 of the stores listed as participating in my state will NOT be hosting a listening party, I did find one store about 30 min. away that IS having a listening party, even though they are NOT listed on Lana's site. So maybe it's worth asking if you don't see your nearest store listed.

Being able to sign up to host house parties would have been fun. Send me the posters/raffle swag and i'll supply the drinks!

IMO, no way. Boz said the surprise had nothing to do with Ocean tracks and this listening party is entirely about those tracks, lol

Wherever you're wanting to attend, I would contact that store directly and confirm how they're doing it, since not all flagged locations are actually even planning on participating.
