They're usually the whole album. Like the one our store is doing for Melanie, 8 days before her album comes out.

The delulu in me wants to believe the real surprise is there is an extended length digital only version of the album about to drop...i'm sure the space limitations of vinyl were on their mind the whole time, since they seemed to cut it so close as is.

Our chain of record stores (the one that knows nothing about this event they're listed as participating in) does a lot of listening parties and they always have free exclusive swag for whatever artist is featured. Hopefully they get their shit together.

Help. All 7 of the record stores in my state (listed on Lana's site) have DENIED there's a listening party for Lana, they know nothing about it!!! They did invite me to attend the listening party for Melanie Martinez on the 31st though

I don't see anything. There's 7 in my little state and no announcement by the stores yet, so sent a DM.

I don't know what i'm doing. It's late, i'm tired. I'm on the east coast..I have work in the morning. I was going to have a bottle of wine and sit out by the pond for my first listen.... Maybe a song or two. Maybe one i've already heard, but now in HQ.

Yep. I don't think that 3 track run is going to be some weird blackhole. I think the interludes will be important to the story/mood and I think Candy Necklace is going to have the charisma needed to make that part of the album work. She's going to shine.

As far as i know, one is LQ and another is the same LQ but with the levels raised to make it sound more HQ, while quality is still gonna suffer.
