how is opinion about change being underdeveloped is invalid, the song was worked on 6 hours and it clearly shoudve got much more time to be featured on the album, and it wasnt a track from lfl universe till the very last day so

how is an opinion invalid anyway? They're personal beliefs not necessarily based on facts but our own perspectives, that's the fun of it.

And even tho I disagree on your 'NFR!' hate, your take on 'Change' is literally factual information, the song was done at last minute lmao. Although I personally prefer it over 'Coachella' :awk:

  2. Poor Emile, tho. I wonder if he's aware of how does Lana feel about his job on 'Born to Die' and the thing she's said about it :awk:. I remember a few years ago, on an interview with Courtney she low-key dragged him, and said he basically ruined the original 'Blue Jeans' with his production. But at least they're on good terms, so perhaps he doesn't care.

The thing is, whether she like it or not, Emile's touch is what made the songs as timeless as they are. People started to mimic Lana's sound from that era, especifically. But I get it, we all want to sound edgy talking down about versions of ourselves from the past. We grow up, she's in a diferent place now.

I'm pretty sure if she could, she'd re-record that album the way she wanted to sound like now. And as much as I'm a hardcore Emile stan, it'd be interesting to hear a Jack Antonoff/Drew Erickson (& co) updated take on 'Born to Die', as in Taylor's re-recordings, maybe with Emile on board, as he basically crafted that whole sound :oic3:

wait was so good really produced by rick nowels?:oprah2:

He's credited as an 'additional producer' and played the synth. But the whole track was made by most of Rocky's team (Boi 1da, T-Minus, J. Sweet, Hector Delgado & co.)

I think this was one of the tracks Papa Rick had the least creative input (well, and 'Cherry', he didn't play a single instrument on that song).

a Koz produced version of "Say Yes to Heaven"? as in Dua Lipa's producer Koz? Nah. That part sounds straight up fanfiction from this insider considering he's a Dua Lipa's stan.

Brb, gonna DM Grandpa Nowels about this article so he can confirm how true it is, sometimes he answers DMs.

  5. If that rumoured setlist is true... I swear to God, this woman is so strange.

    • It's time to let "Blue Jeans" go already. The song is iconic and everything, but she has released infinitely better songs since then. Elizabeth, you've ditched "Ride" but NOT "Blue Jeans"?

    • Bringing back MORE songs from "Born to Die" 💀. I know she brought back "Diet Mtn Dew" because of TikTok but, following that logic, why not doing "Brooklyn Baby" as well?

    • The random ass choice of fucking "Love Song" is beyond my cognitive ability of understanding.

    • "Honeymoon" is always welcomed.

    • Lots song from "Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd" is the only thing exciting (to me).

    • But if the setlist is real, what I'm not forgiving is her NOT singing more songs from "Ultraviolence".

I hope the setlist is not the final, and she proves me wrong.

  6. "National Anthem" back? Yikes. Hate me if you want, but IMO, the only way that song sounded good live was when performed acoustic, back on 2012.

I think she's paying dust to the "Chemtrails/Banisters" songs due to her thinking they're too slow for a festival, maybe? Although the nonchalant and dismissive way she says "no" to the fans when they ask her about those songs is kind of sad to me, ngl

    :um2:

I know it’s been discussed to death but I refuse to believe the official lyrics to A&W are

    God's a charlatan, don't look back, babe
Puts the shower on while he calls me

It just doesn’t flow right or make sense. To me, she saying what she sang in that car video but did a better job of censoring unlike Fingertips

3:23 — 'Got a shhh who turned down the backbeat'. That's what I hear on the acapella.

  8. Realistically, considering this is a FESTIVAL, I think this is what she'll do:

    "Born to Die" + "Paradise"

    • Video Games (100%)

    • Blue Jeans (80%)

    • Born to Die (100%)

    • Summertime Sadness (100%)

    • Off to the Races (60%) (not sure about this one, she seemed kinda bored the last performances we got)

    • Ride (70%)

    "Ultraviolence"

    • Pretty When You Cry (100%)

    • Shades of Cool (80%)

    • West Coast (90%)

    • Brooklyn Baby (50%) — (she HAS to do this live, the normies/GP love this one).

    • Ultraviolence (50%)

    "Honeymoon"

    • High By the Beach (50%)

    "Lust for Life"

    • Cherry (100%)

    • White Mustang (50%)

    • Lust for Life (5%) — (she didn't even sign this song last tour, she only danced to it💀)

    • Love (0%) — (is like she even forgot this song even exists, a shame, since I love it so much).

    "Norman Fucking Rockwell!"

    • Doin' Time (100%)

    • Mariners Apartment Complex (70%)

    • Norman Fucking Rockwell (50%)

    • Venice Bitch (100%) — (she's definitely doing the 'Taco Truck x VB' mashup and ending with a mix with the NFR! version, mark my words).

    • Cinnamon Girl / Happiness Is A Butterfly (40%) — (she HAS to do these one live, the normies/GP love them).

"Chemtrails Over the Country Club" + "Blue Banisters"

    • Chemtrails Over the Country Club / Arcadia (50%) — (if she even aknowledges these albums, I can see doing one of these and that's it. We're being delusional if we think she'd do "Dealer" unless she bring Miles).

"Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd"

    • A&W (100%)

    • DYKTTATUOB (50%)

    • Taco Truck x VB (100%)

    • Paris, Texas / Candy Necklace (50%)

    • Margaret (100%) — (she's deffo bringing Jack at some point).

Songs I think she SHOULD do:

    • Diet Mountain Dew — (went viral on Tik Tok)

    • Art Deco — (gained popularity)

Medley: Cinnamon Girl / Tulsa Jesus Freak / Fishtail

    • If You Lie Down With Me

    • White Dress

    • The Greatest

    • Yes to Heaven — (went viral on Tik Tok)

I will come back to check if my predictions came true.

  9. There's something fishy to me about that alleged Emile Haynie version of "Fine China". If we take into consideration the timeline, while Lana was working on early-"Ultraviolence", Emile was working on his debut record ("We Fall") and he said in a couple of interview he was pissed about not being able to work on "Ultraviolence". The only song they worked together during that time was "Wait for Life". So, timing's a bit off.

until this person can prove themselves I’m not going to put too much weight on what they have to say.

as much as I don’t like Bozo and Eclipse, they have proven themselves to be reliable (although questionable) insiders. This new guy popped out of now where and refuses to prove themselves bc they’re “not a leaker”.

    Wait— you're right tho.

Do we have any proof of reliability from this person?

  11. Cancel me if you want but:

    • I really like "Margaret", it makes me feel really happy inside, good vibes only and shit.

    • "Fingertips" is top 5 for me. It makes me cry so hard. I don't understand how can some people hate that song. It feels like the rawer, more honest sister of "Hope is A Dangerous Thing..." and "Wildfire Wildflower".

    • Y'all made me think that "Sweet" would be another "Beautiful" or "Violets for Roses", bit it gave me chills. One of the best Drew Erickson songs to date. The second verse/bridge is fucking fantastic.

    • I LOVE both interludes, LMAO. It's all about the ominous, eerie, uncomfortable vibes what I like.

    • I believe "Candy Necklace" is a little bit overrated, it does get repetitive a bit, don't you think?

    • I loved how meta the idea of incorporating "Venice Bitch" into "Taco Truck" is, but it was overhyped. I'm growing to like it, tho. I will end up loving it eventually, I'm sure.

This is only my opinion, I don't meant to trash anyone else's points of views. I'm just stating what I personally feel about the songs, hehe. Perhaps I have a weird taste? 😅
