She just sits in a studio singing into a mic its not like she produces or mixes the entire album… y’all make it seem like she’s slaving away just for our satisfactionMusic is her hobby not her job, her job is to keep us entertained

Sooo no one here is complaining abt Lana doing nothing after the album release? Yall just let her sit on her big ass and vape while we have to get crumbs

Who said that? Maybe if you and the person who liked your post had the mental capacity to understand context and nuances you would know that I was referring to the wildness and experimentation of A&W rather than the sound. That’s on you you concluded I want an album full of the same songs.
Bye felicia
you two faggots are embarrassing

I don’t think she’s done something like a&w before. Since NFR, I don’t remember instantly loving a single as much as a&w.
Okay that’s one song out of 16…We need a whole album of A&W’s

after sitting with the album and the newness wearing off, i like a few songs but dont often feel compelled to come back to the album. i dont relate to most of the lyrical material, i dont find a lot of the melodies to be that compelling, i completely understood what the album was about on first listen, and it doesnt cultivate any sort of atmosphere for me. some songs are career highlights but for the most part, i could take or leave this album.
maybe lana’s new direction isnt really for me anymore i can appreciated her growth and the music shes putting out n i love her to death as a person but idk… nothing will compare to her earlier music for me. i just cant make myself enjoy it as much.
Every person who denies is this just truly trying to convince themselves it’s not true.Lana needs to do something new, and no OB didn’t include anything new.

I feel like NFR was able to convey more musical exellence just with the first half of the tracks alone than all of Ocean Blvd with its 16 tracks
However, OB is much more better with the lyrics and conveying emotions
It’s truly like a older sister to NFR

The original AK Wanderlust is miles more magical and passionate than what we got for Fishtail. Like I was disappointed…

I’m kinda disappointed that the album leaked early and then we got all these other leaks this week. This album deserves better than for this thread to be lowkey kinda dead.
Maybe bcs half of the album is kinda inaccessible and doesn’t have replay value unless you wanna torture yourself with trauma dumping (although it remains beautiful)Or that A&W was the most innovative and best song but we already received it in February so the hype for it on album release date wasn’t strong.
Taco Truck was also severely overhyped.

Guys i think the tracklisting actually makes sense. She opens the album with her talking about her family, trauma (The Grants, A&W), running away and reflecting upon her life (Kintsugi & Fingertips), then she realises in Paris, Texas that it’s actually time to go home and enjoy life
So then we have tracks like Let The Light In and Margaret, which are more uplifting and then transitioning into fun tracks like Peppers and Taco Truck, where’s she’s finally back home in Venice, California and enjoying life. -
My tracklist rearrangement:
1 The Grants
2 Ocean Blvd
3 Sweet
4 AW
5 Candy Necklace
6 Jon Batiste Interlude
7 Fishtail
8 Peppers
9 Paris, Texas
10 Grandfather
11 Kintsugi
12 Fingertips
13 Let The Light In
14 Margaret
15 Taco Truck x VB
and yes i left out the pastor interlude intentionally

tracks 1-11 here are stuff we made out, and then the ones without track numbers are other potential contenders
Thanks sisI’m confused abt which tracks to keep in my UV sessions/demos folder and which ones to put into the Tropico one…

People who prefer the pastor interlude over the jon batiste interlude… what happened to y’all as children? Is it the religious trauma that’s lowkey giving you stockholm syndrome or is it just bad taste?

Ocean Blvd could have been her best album if it wasn’t produced by Jack Anton Off with his muted and generic instrumentals that he keeps recycling. I’m tired of Lana and him sabotaging what could have been a 10/10 record.
The recent leaks like Earthquakes and LMLYLAW demo CLEAR Cumtrails and Ocean Blvd with ease… UV was truly her artistic peak. NFR is a close second and Jack should have stopped there.

This album would have been better if she cut some of the slow piano songs. Ballads always hit harder when they’re a minority on the album, too much of it becomes stale.
I really feel like this album has/had so much potential but she stuck to her comfort zone (w the exception of Fingertips, Peppers, A&W, maybe TT).
It’s missing something for me.

Don’t you dare disrespect Wildflower Wildfire -
Hopefully she’ll put the piano ballads and family talk to rest.
Drop Jack and all of the other yes-men.
Work w new genres and more guitars
We can only dream
