Yeah I’m probably not gonna participate in delu behaviors on here any more. Lana boards had me picturing her flying in the air with a gun singing summer bummer with asap and her making out at end.
when meanwhile her entrance and exit plus gorgeous stage and fire works was on another level in itself… we’re being so ungrateful….

Maybe the performance wasn't that bad as we thought and maybe we were just grouchy/ tired from staying up for hours expecting something totally unrealistic 

Rolling Stone loved her performance, « cimenting her icon status ». Didn’t read the thing but thought it was nice to say  

Lana, not Billie, is the voice of "our generation." So many people, late to the party, are just waking up to that fact, and even to her existence. Despite all the hardships, obstacles, and press attacks, Lana has persevered and had a truly admirable career. 

Ugh, the "Jealous Girl" intro was one for the ages! Poor baby looked flawless but scared to death and kind of frozen for the first part...like the china doll of "Without You" in fact. I loved that the band played "West Coast" but...she didn't sing it. Instrumental and then backing vocals, with her back to the audience. 
 
She seemed to visibly relax with Jon Batiste, though--that man is pure sunshine, just the most wonderful energy. I wondered what she was saying to him before the song; he was making a concerned sympathetic face like she was saying "I'm freaking out and the audio is fucked" or something. She was disturbingly convincing when she whispered "feeling super suicidal".  But she started singing more strongly and freely by the end of the song. And then she went for the pole!!  Their improv bit was SO GOOD and she seemed way happier then. They made it sound like "candy necklaces" were either drugs or something sexual, whew. It's all they ever wanted. 
 
When she said, "sometimes you need someone else's spirit to move with you", that was so real. She was happy after that and totally relaxed with Billie, and they were ADORABLE together! 
 
Whew, what a rollercoaster. 

Just woke up and the first thing I had to do was watch, so here are my initial thoughts:
 
When the set started, I was genuinely kind of shocked. Three songs in a row that she hasn’t played since pre-Covid times?? She definitely seemed kind of nervous and timid at first, but she warmed up after a few tracks. 
 
Then it segued into her usual set list. The notable exception was Candy Necklaces. A total highlight for me. We finally got it and Jon ate.
 
I agree that she definitely felt subdued through the set. I’m not sure if it was necessarily the time of day, but it could have been a factor. I think she was laser focused and knew how big this was, especially for the fans. I’ve noticed that when she gets really focused, she tends to slow down a bit. 
 
I’m not the biggest Billie fan, but the part with her was nice. I have mixed feelings on Jack too, but there was something charming about seeing him on piano. 
 
Overall, it was nice, quaint and elegant, but I wasn’t totally blown or way or shocked by it. I’m pleasantly surprised she didn’t go full country. No offense. I had a quasi-nightmare the other day that she only played country songs. While I don’t mind some of those tracks, it wouldn’t have fit with Coachella vibes.
 
So, I’m not disappointed with the performance. I guess I have a neutral response. It was nice to hear a few different tracks and get some guest appearances. Candy Necklaces topped it off for me. 
 
By the way, is it just me, or was there a noodling around between songs that sounded like Summer Bummer at one point? I’m not the biggest fan of that song, but I actually wouldn’t have minded it for something different. 

So apparently at some point during the set the keyboard broke and also hadn’t been tuned correctly & ofc issues with her mic and ear-ins, reported by Jen Stith’s sister who heard this from Jen x

Like, she looks like she literally doesn't belong to this world. The level of beauty and the vulnerable, pure energy she radiates is just undescribable.
 
I could actually spend hours just staring at these pictures. What a rare, astounding treasure she is.

Just got to the hologram section. Wow. That was seriously so stirring  Who else is giving a posthumous performance whilst still alive. Self-referential with SNL and a commentary on the mortality of the artist.

I have not watched the full set, but skimmed. Crazy we still have audio issues at every show, why can’t they get it right ever? Anyways the Bikes were Iconic, the music at the end reminded me of the Ball Room scene from The Shining, mysterious and haunting just like Lana it was perfect. 

Lana's been giving us variations of LA to the Moon tour ever since it happened and some people still expect some kind of career defining life changing performance out of her If she sounded good be happy about it, goal achieved lol

Lana's not really a showgirl, I consider her performances gigs not Beyonce level shows, she stands and sings. Of course it won't be thrilling the 300th time you've seen it. It's nice for those who still think she can't sing basically thats about it. Nice little surprises here and there but nothing to be genuinely hyped up over, its silly to be disappointed

The only thing that really pissed me off is the crowd being so low but then singing loudly to Ocean Eyes like ☠️☠️☠️ that was just cringe for me

Also on the spectrum and I totally feel the same.. also regarding her emotional dysregulation sometimes  

I think the main thing she’s lacking is the self confidence and awareness that she is the hottest most perfect person to get on stage. Not to compare but for example like Taylor swift or Tate like they know what and how they’re doing it. Last year she definitely had that confidence so maybe next week she’ll be a bit more open

Can we celebrate the fact that she was finally on time...?

I feel like she is 100% going to do a full arena tour in normal cities next year. this reminds me a lot of how she did kind of like a mini tour around when LFL dropped and then did a proper tour for it the following year in 2018 with LATM

overall this past week felt like a fever dream, between living my dream of finally getting to see her live and being barricade and then spontaneously buying a ticket to wv wednesday to go on thursday haha…. zella opening for her in wv was the cherry on top…. grateful for this experience and for all of the people i met🖤🖤🖤

it apparently was at the wv show but i ran to the pit i didn’t even get to look at the merch otherwise i would have gotten you one😓💔
they were even more phenomenal live i loved them since the brazil comeback show, i hope she keeps jazzy, peaches, and porctia😭🖤
