I think between Death, BOTL, Void, and Evil this album would be getting a little one note if Sirens was on it too. She probably ended up preferring these to Sirens in the end. They’re all pretty heavy rock songs. Tunnel Vision is the sultry bop with a killer hook for a slow song. Faerie Soirée is something different entirely but more of an interlude honestly. Moon Cycle does bring something different to the table sonically, but those lyrics Light Shower seems like sort of a slow cute ballad Spider Web, The Cortionist, Nymphology, and Womb are all kinda TBD yet.

I know I’m the outlier here but Sirens was alright but I think Evil is better I do miss the “don’t be mad when these fuckers all drown” line. I love when Mel calls people fuckers. But I’m as upset about N&T as most of you all are about Sirens so we can be united in injustice. I’m trying not to listen to TV anymore before the album drops

Wait she has another show tonight? On the topic of lyrics…she needs to post TV’s so I can know for sure if it’s “tunnel vision and damning” and “I saw a trick fall out your sleeve and I’m so sad and/so saddened/so certain”

The Cry Baby visuals were amazing, but they are so tired by now. I’m glad to see she’s going in a new direction. I don’t find the look particularly appealing, more for the fact that I can’t see her face and that really takes something away from watching her perform. At the end of the day I’m a fan of music first, and the music so far on this record is really looking promising. She doesn’t need the gimmick of the pink alien. I don’t know if it will help or hurt her in the end. It will get more eyes on her, but she’s going to turn off a certain amount of people that think it’s weird. She pulled some very good numbers with Death, so I think this era will be successful for her. She was going to run the risk of losing a lot of people if it was a repeat of K-12 musically.

@BowOfLove The runtime of the live version of Evil from the part that was very clearly that song is about 4:06. Track length on the album is 4:06 The rap intro is over 40 seconds at minimum…it’s gotta be from another track (probably Nymphology)

a lot of twitter is assuming the intro to Evil is part of Nymphology

I mean none of them are her actual eyes but I know what you mean, the lower ones are less open than the top ones, it’s weird. I’d just rather see her face in some way.

I wonder if this is sort of her way of reclaiming the leaking? Like she knows it’s going to happen, so she’s going to let her fans hear the music a week early at the event and when someone leaks it, it was going to happen anyway. Kind of not a bad idea. Also, she performed some new songs in full before they could get leaked at Lollapalooza. So she kinda got ahead of it that way too.

Reading on Twitter…apparently there is confusion because the store said only X location because they have two locations. I guess it’s being “handed out free of charge” at all the listening events. Or that’s what I’m reading anyway.

Their Facebook post doesn’t mention the exclusive CD, or it being on sale Thursday, but they used an image of it for the post. I should probably call.

I’m low key tempted to go to Dearborn Music on Thursday. That exclusive CD is gonna be rare. Here’s my issues: -I’d have to leave work early -it’s 1:30 without traffic, PLUS there’s terrible construction over there, an entire freeway is closed -people are going to come from further for that dang CD -Cry Babies -I think it’s ugly
