okay i’ve heard enough of the album already, i’m gonna try and wait until the release date and avoid hearing anything else but it’s so hard when i know the l*ak is out there

okay, so i just heard fingertips and omg, it’s incredible. i love the lack of rhythm and random melodies through the song. my favorite parts/lyrics in the entire song are: i also heard the beginning of grandfather and some of the judah smith interlude- and the very beginning of grandfather actuslly surprised me! i’m so excited for this album

well i wouldn’t consider her an “underdog,” but she is “alternative.” she diverts from the typical pop spectrum, in terms of songwriting, sound, voice style, etc, therefore she is different. being popular doesn’t make you “not alternative.” for example, nirvana, one of the greatest and most popular bands of all time, is still an alt grunge band.

it sounds amazing, i love blue banisters and her more poetic work despite what most people think about it. super excited to hear this album

could someone describe what fingertips sounds like without really spoiling any lyrics/content of the actual song? like is it dark or is the piano more like a blue banisters song???

i havent heard much about what styles/genres we think will be the influence of this album. im especially curious about what paris, texas is gonna sound like, i dont really remember what instruments it said there were in the prod credits. do we think this album will be softer, like her past few albums, or more rock influenced, with heavy, dark acoustic guitar like part 1 of a&w? probably a mix of both, but id be fine with the songs either way, and im excited nonetheless. im just expecting some of these songs to be sorta different from what we've been used to hearing from her recently. i think many of the songs are going to be experimental compared to her previous stuff.

yep, been a fan a little longer than you have and i must say waiting for chemtrails was living hell too. the question for the culture crap, the album delays, etc made it so stressful. and don't even get me started on the "rock candy sweet" announcement she made only one day after chemtrails was released- we all went crazy then
