i've been lied to too many times. i'll be excited when those pre-orders drop

i've been thinking about this a lot lately: i think the way she approached the releases of the re-recordings and TTPD was all wrong. with as much magic that the TTPD era adds to the show, this album should've been dropped after the tour in my opinion. finishing and releasing the re-records during the ERAS TOUR should've been the first priority as it would've made the most sense. maybe adding a little debut section to the show after it was announced? uhg, it just bugs me. not to mention the gag that it would've been had she been sitting at her little piano during the last show and went "oh hey, by the way, my new studio album the tortured poets department is dropping blah blah blah" after giving her little speech about how much the tour meant to her. and hearing icdiwabh for the first time after the tour was over? GIRL. it would've fed us well after the inevitable long ass break she's about to take after eras is over. anyway, rant over, i'll just be eternally bugged by something that doesn't even matter
