Hi all, I took a 6 hour road trip yesterday to give the album a couple of listens straight through. I cant focus at home so I don’t really get the full experience. While I’m in the car, I get to give the music my (almost) full attention. I’ll keep my review of the released songs short since they’ve been talked about so in depth. Here are my thoughts on the album: sorry for the 3 page essay

You know what, I totally see your point of view on this. I’m personally a big fan of Lana’s raw vocals but I can see how after the last two albums it can be a little tired. I think we will get a nice transition from her raw vocals on Side A to some more meticulous and deliberate vocals on the later sides

I’m just happy that I get to listen to a new song that I love while going through this dumpster fire whereas others get to implode in silence

This checks out with the whole “giving fans what they deserve”

I feel like the “ahh ahhhs” in the last 30s of The Grants is very reminiscent of another song from BTD (or honeymoon?) era but I can’t pinpoint which one

All my music is on my phone and I don’t dislike the intro enough to go onto my computer and do it so I will just stay giggling with the girls during my break to catch my breath after yelling the rest of the song

how do? is this possible on Apple Music? Or did you just cut the file itself and add to your library?

I listened to The Grants twice before today and wasn’t inlove but I am happy to report that after it released officially I have been listening to it on loop and I have been converted. The Grants is such a beautiful opener and although the intro kind of hinders the replayability for me a bit, the laugh and “okay, one more time” makes me smile and I just really like it!

Does anyone have any idea how long the BBC thing is gonna be today? Is she gonna be on for the whole hour or is it just gonna be a quick play of The Grants?
