The motorcycles used were new electric bikes, not the vintage ones used in the Ride mv or typically associated with Lana. In biker culture those e-bikes are not “cool” compared to older choppers. She said they were comped too so it feels like product placement. Vintage bikes from the 60/70’s are inherently cooler but it sounds like her stunt coordinator maybe went around Pete and set this up? Idk but it would’ve been infinitely cooler/more on brand if they were vintage bikes. I think they knew it too since there was an older bike on the stage and guys looking like real bikers lining the sides when they rode off.

“Pete quit for no reason after 15 years because he was butt hurt that I got 10 comped bikes for free from Wally and randomly decided he was more of a stage designer than a tour manager...” This sounds like Pete wanted real bikes (ride mv) but this Wally guy stepped on his toes about it. The electric bikes she used do feel like product placement so it makes sense they were comped.

Holy shit you’re right. And especially with No Doubt, the Deftones, and Blur playing last weekend. If Courtney wasn’t so insane maybe she’d be queen of Coachella but then again she wouldn’t be the infamous Courtney Love if she wasn’t nuts.

The hologram effect she did is literally called “Pepper’s Ghost”. Also I totally agree. It was a beautiful performance but her mic issues were throwing her off.
