Fuck yes of course, I was gagged the minute I heard it. I’ve dedicated hours perfecting this song on piano, and when you learn how to play a song you see how amazingly it has been arranged. I’ve got nothing but the upmost admiration and respect for this song. I hope TRPWS follows in the same vein.

This is truly one of Lana’s most beautiful and underrated songs. It has such a grounding effect on me. Makes me feel so much self love.

Folk is one of oldest form of music from the first settlers in America, as well as gospel. Before that, it was Native American music. Country developed in the early 20th century which blended folk with blues and gospel. Folk and gospel basically laid the foundations for country music, but it’s by no means the oldest. Actually it’s relatively new in the grand scheme of things. Whether or not Lana leans more into folk than country, I don’t mind. I’ll admit I’m not buzzing for this album but I know when it comes I’ll love it. After 13 years of being a Lana fan, I’ve never been disappointed by an album.

Yeah this is the thing that bugs me, when i listen to her I can’t help but find it funny too. I also feel like it’s just a way to become more popular because she’s definitely feeding into a certain trend as well. But I do love star shaped baby a lot, more so the composition/instrumentation than her lyrics. I’m gonna give her more time to find her sound and refine it, I think she has a lot of potential. Whereas with Holly Macve, her music falls flat on me now. Ever since she’s marketed her music towards Lana’s fanbase. That album Golden Eagle has some really good songs and writing in it. Now her songs are all about driving with her baby in a Mercedes Benz in San Francisco. It just seems out of sync with all of her other music. You can really tell when an artist wants to get big in America lol.

Where is the demo? I used to find Remy Bond quite disingenuous because of how much she copies (not just from Lana) but I’m over it now. Sometimes u just gotta stop caring about stupid shit and enjoy the music for what it is. She has a stunning voice! I can’t wait to see how she progresses in her music. She’s come a long way since benzo queen, thankfully.
