    Katy Perry

That's what you get when you're trying to be relatable with out giving a gram of introspection or artistic substance. Katy & her team should pick a side because these past era's felt like a "let's try something new" instead of "I know what I'm doing". I actually think witness could have been something if she kept on the world conspiracy theatre kid act, cuz it felt genuine. I guess she's just constantly compared to her Teenage Dream success but the music feels like she wants nothing to do with that era and comes off as trying really hard.

late here but it's definitely losers " la la la la la losers, beautiful losers" it's also definitely on brand as "Beautiful losers" is the title of a (book) written by Leonard Cohen, an artist that definitely influenced Lana as he's also the writer&singer of Chelsea Hotel #2. Now in my own interpretation, it's actually very fitting considering how people mostly view artists who dream about making it (hence the connection to Venice Beach, California) people with potential to do something else, but ultimately losers for giving up on capitalistic jobs and persuade arts, which sadly is still seen as being a loser for not fitting the standard societal expectation of life. Referring to the "I'm a writer" argument, as a writer, it saddens me to see someone would easily dismiss a way of interpreting music, because we out of everybody should be able to understand that lyrics are meant to come alive through the lenses of the ones who read or hear them.

    Taylor Swift

haha definitely, I would love for her to break the porcelain persona and just do whatever she wants, that's why I can't bet on her not releasing this year

    Taylor Swift

Yeah, that it's actually what I would expect from a business pov, but considering how massive she is now I don't think her team has any reference for this point of her career to learn from so, we're probably going to see some fantastic & creative strategies and a flood of new content or some time off to plan every little detail (as yk, there is so much to win but also to lose)

I'm always terrified to express even a slight unpopular opinion of Taylor, especially bc I'm new here and I haven't picked the whole vibe yet, BUT as excited as I am for rep tv, I feel like after the TTPD fiasco she's reaching to a saturation point and idk if more music would benefit her image atm. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if people would spiral into hating her & her fans even more. I'm curious tho whats her roll out plan.
