I think it does but by doing the bare minimum, and not in a thought of minimalistic way. Imho the one that represents the music the best is the BTD one. I don't see how not choosing the UV Chuck cover above the Neil one could have been anything but a conscious choice because the Chuck cover is the perfect continuity of the BTD and Para covers, so they were probably making the definite decision of wanting to break a bit her image for a new beginning and new sound. But I think it would have been so much better urgh, and it represents the music so so so much better. That's all I ask for NFR cover actually, that it represents the music well

Completely, that's why I don't believe it will happen. As I just said I think the same about an illustrated cover. It's just too different, people would be confused and that would probably at the very worst impact the sales

I don't think an illustration would be too good, even as realistic as Norman's, we would be like wooow at first but it would be such a HUGE departure from the rest of her aesthetics, I don't think it would age well? It may fit if there are some other illus stuff accompanying the record such as an animated video or something like that but not necessarily as a stand alone cover. And the other two covers we had so far weren't illustrations, so I would genuinely be surprised if NFR was.

The only way I'd be happy with a Lana-less cover is if it was not necessarily illustration but ultragraphic and textless. Maybe w stickers on it or smt. I'm a huge hoe for the current trend of textless or very minimal text covers w just a parental advisory slapped on it. I have strong opinions regarding this

This gives off a certain k i n d of energy but I rly don't think she would be the one especially at this point in her career to put out a cover without her damn face on it lol. She pays so much for her fillers might as well flaunt them

I'm usually not one to be pessimistic about Lana but I have zero expectations for it. UV is my favourite album of all time (no shit) and I don't like the cover. I don't think I like any of her covers? I'm glad I listen to her for the music and not the design because otherwise whew

I would be super interested for Lana to work again with Emile (and I would kms if she worked w Dan Auerbach again but I don't see it happening again I think she milked all the sadness out of herself and he was the perfect instrument for that but she doesn't want to go there anymore at least for now) to see her thought progression and style evolution but the issue with Emile is that his productions are SO prevalent. You can't hear something by Emile and think it's not by him. I absolutely love I Love You by The Neighbourhood but it sounds essentially like a male BTD with whale noises. But also, ILY was released in 2013 so perhaps Emile style changed? I would be super interested in hearing that ouch I genuinely adore both except I immediately loved 13B and had to hear the drop of Cin to like it and that shit hurted lol

Where did honeymouns even get the full video that quickly? I didn't see it so I don't know if it was good quality or not but I would be surprised if it was just lying somewhere on the Internet but I'm pretty candid so there might be something I'm not thinking of

Yeah I think this is the best thing about this contract, she's probably gonna be legally bound to appear a lot lol. Rly feels like BTD era updated which is amazing since I wasn't around at this time. But it probably means that the higher the fashion in promos, the more we'll see her in tshirts and leggings outside of it

Considering we got the LFL reveal in April, if the album's out in March that would make some sense actually! But I'd prefer them to take their sweet time and for it to blow my mind than post early under the pressure and for it to feel unfinished
