  1. "Is the sun in your eyes, easy rider? Do the flame colored skies light your fire? We are heavy metal lions, they will never understand. The kind of people you or I am, bow your heads and take your hands." doesn't sound much better either if you're just reading it tbh. His first tweets about UMG imply he started around late-November 2012.
  2. Again, more Instagram lyrics: "Boy this ain't your place, throwing your shit up in my face. Innocence isn't your game, must be nice way out in space, I know you lie" "It's crazy, crazy, how life passes by, seems like we get one shot at getting it right. Laying in the sand, our hearts in the sky, you'd be the one I'd want at my side" And then because he's linked his Twitter and his Instagram there's a deleted Instagram photo where the caption starts off with: "Through thunder, through fog, through fits of pouring rain, coming up from under, your love stays the..." It sounds like a Lana lyric. I don't know why it was deleted though. Then he posts alternate lyrics to Velvet Crowbar: "You wanna touch life so hard, baby just give it a rest. My Whitey, mob gangster in the dark, Bulger, I can't get nothing less. I'm watching you sleep, pray you'll start breathin... #NYC #time #bulger #instagay" This was only posted on Instagram, but here are some lyrics to Breaking My Heart: "We're breaking all the rules, but babe this feels so right, kissing me hard, forever in your arms. I just want to party tonight, this rollercoaster ride, seeing Valentino stars tonight. #summer #instagay #Boston #you"
  3. Well I compared his Twitter feed and his Instagram feed and here's what I got: Obviously songwriting was something that he's been wanting to do for a long time and he's happy to get his big break. I think he's a legit person and I'm happy that he got to realise his dream. I'm guessing he's in New York to work with Lana. Because from this point on, whenever he's in NY he tweets Lana-esque lines. I'm not totally sure if they are all Lana, but I have a feeling that at least two or three are. Since he's just gotten his big break I'm sure he's not writing for nore than one person at the same time. I think he's definitely focused on Lana and her music. A while later, he actually tweets Lana lyrics and mentions Lana: Then he posts a whole set of lyrics on his Instagram on the same day as that tweet (with a photo of Roses): "I know I like him, hes the bestest, my mind cant keep up to his pace. Babes my small time ganster, one touch sets my oxy glossy eyes in a spin. The minutes fall to pieces, baby forget our lives, innocense is a thing of the past. Its down to a wire, gotta get to the other side. Take my body, finish this young loves race" No activity again until April where he posts this on his Instagram. Not sure if it's Lana but anything's possible: "All the flight in you, all the shit you put me through, all this trouble chasing heaven, it's done. The lights have all blown out, the time is burning up, babe I'm through with you. #Timechain 11/12/13"
  4. I kinda think she writes her songs herself and then sends it off to be reviewed or 'fixed'. Person who does the 'fixing' gets accredited as co-writer? *scratches head*
  5. Speculation =/= false information. That's what the question mark: "on Ultraviolence with new lyrics?" was for.
  6. I want old songs for the album tbh. Paradise would have been a great full length album if it included like 6 old songs. If Ultraviolence had old songs, and it's a full length release, it'd be as if she released 2 EPs at once. Of course I'd prefer new music, but her old music is killer good.
  7. Where's your enthusiasm? Anyway: "James Joseph "Whitey" Bulger, Jr. (born September 3, 1929) is an American convicted murderer and former organized crime figure." Sounds like someone Lana would write a song about.
  8. VELVET CROWBAR, BREAKING MY HEART, AND TONIGHT ON ULTRAVIOLENCE WITH DIFFERENT LYRICS?
  9. Can someone start a Edward Gallegos thread here on LB? He needs a shrine here and he needs to be worshipped tbh.
  10. Since he's not allowed to talk about Lana's side, just ask him what song he's written (and when)? Just to confirm if he did help write AFFA- that would be useful information because AFFA is new as fuck.
  11. I have a lot of friends between 18 and 25 who are properly in the music industry. If you're a songwriter with lots of connections and artists like your material and want to work with you, then I'm sure you can work for UMG at whatever age you want.
  12. ASCAP says Live or Die was written by Lana and Jarrard Rogers and that it's own by EMI. Doesn't add up tbh. EDIT: I just looked it up and apparently UMG has acquired EMI. However, Edward Gallegos he was mentioned before on the forum (in the Break My Fall thread) so I think maybe he just helped with the lyrics and nothing more. His name is associated with a video of AFFA - and that's for (was written around the time of) this new record, right? So there might be a hint of truth. Here's his Instagram page though, but he doesn't seem to be the kind of person who would write for Lana. Matching username to the youtube channel though? I'm doubtful but excited.
  13. I might be reading too much into this but back in August, Barrie tweeted Dan Heath and then he tweeted 'W' 7 minutes afterwards. Now, didn't Lana have a song called W up on her Myspace? Why would Barrie be tweeting Dan Heath out of the blue unless they either hung out that day or unless maybe... just maybe, they were both in the studio together with Lana working on a song called W?
  14. Good call! I completey forgot about that song! I'll add it to the possible list of songs. I guess that means I should add anything post-paradise too. Even though personally I don't think JFK, Hollywood or Starry Eyed will make it. Also, for those who need reminding, here's the song she performed: http://instagram.com/p/b3o42DOjqt/
  15. Can you please change the title so that it implies a fan-made tracklist with already unreleased songs? (Mods where are you?!) Any discussion about the actual Ultraviolence tracklist should go in the Utraviolence thread!
  16. Tim Larcome posted link to Tropico on his Facebook and someone, a girl named Laura, asked im if there was a new album and he replied: "New album on the way Laura! Next year." So, the release year is 2014 and Tim Larcombe (Off To The Races) is still involved in the production! Also, Tim refered to it as an album, impying that's it's most likely a a full length record and not an EP. Lana called it a new 'record' so it's a little ambiguous. If it's an album, we should be expecting at least 12 songs (the number of songs on Born To Die, not including bonus tracks.)
  17. I saw that when it was posted. I think the conversation was real, but the information wasn't. I think Lana must have mentioned the leaks to her dad and he thought that QOD (etc) were meant for the new abum. He doesn't seem like the kind of person to know 100% what's going on with Lana's song choices.
  18. Of course it can. For example, she can write an album called 'Opulence' and use the adjective 'opulent' in a song. Edit: Sorry, I didn't read the original post you quoted. I thought you were talking about it being used in HDB.
  19. Ultraviolence = noun, ultraviolent = adjective. They mean the same thing.
  20. It's weird because she says she's stripping everything down, but when she performs on the Paradise tour, she rocks everything up! Make up your mind, Lana.
  21. Whenever I listen to Black Beauty, I think of 'The District Sleeps Alone Tonight' by The Postal Service. It'd be interesting if she went towards a dreamy vintage electronic sound (a musical oxymoron?) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FqmJy8HzQI
  22. The fact that they're getting married makes me think the music will be more romantic and real. I'm intrigued about how it's affected Lana's songwriting.
