Can't wait for a new album cover. I hope it'll be different to the 'center portrait, text top and bottom' style we're so accustomed to. In terms of the tracklist, I don't think 'Ultraviolence' will be a title track. To me, it sounds more like a theme for the album rather than a song. Similar to how 'Paradise' didn't have a title track. I hope Black Beauty will still be on the album even though it leaked. I really love this version we have, but I will be open to change/improvement for the final album. I like the electronic demo-y sound but I think it would sound very beautiful if it were fully orchestrated like AFFA.

Lana's looking stunning, wow. AND she looks genuinely happy! Amazing.

EEEEK so excited for your commentary!

Kev, your obsession with Cola being a single & having a video is so funny to me. It won't happen. Dark Paradise was a single in Germany (LUCKY YOU) and it didn't even get a video. She's definitely moved onto new things with Black Beauty and AFFA. Those two songs and her reported studio recording activity are the only things we can base our predictions on. ULTRAVIOLENCE will be revealed very soon. There's no doubt that she's still going to stick with poetry and spiritual imagery but the Born To Die/Paradise era will definitely end at some point next year.

I hope Ultraviolence is the name of her new album. It sounds like such a great project. -
Aw, way to spoil the fun! It was all coming anyway, I just wanted to prolong it to keep the thread interesting. I don't have Ribs or Swinging Party either, but who knows- I'll put my sleuthing skills to the test .

Which songs do you think were intended for the new album?
lflflflflflflflflflf replied to Hellish's topic in Lana Thoughts
Lana from Nylon: "I base the entire record on one song" = Black Beauty. Black Beauty is undoubtedly a 2013 track. Since the three are from December 2012, yes they could be new songs but I don't think they are for the new record. Seems like Rick uploaded them just to say "I produced these" and add them to his portfolio. Starry Eyed seems to have looped verses and SE/Hollywood/JFK do not seem as polished as AFFA. I know Black Beauty still sounds like an electronic demo so any of those songs could be reworked for the new record. -

1. BB 2. AFFA --- Almost 100% certainty 3. JFK 4. Hollywood 5. Starry Eyed 6. Because Of You (Unleaked) --- Were cut from Paradise but could still be used or reworked for the next album (to fit BB/AFFA sound but I doubt it Lana hardly ever uses outtakes again. Since Driving In Cars and YCBTB didn't make an appearance on Paradise.) 7. Black Leather Moonlight/I Don't Wanna Go/Tonight --- Circulating for a long time so I doubt it will make an appearance. -
Teasers for 'Tropico' Released on YouTube
lflflflflflflflflflf replied to Sitar's topic in New Releases
I'm not here for the aspect ratio. It looks like we're watching it through a postbox. There's more blank space around the video than the actual video itself. I know it's getting a theater premiere but everyone will be watching it on Youtube. Mandler is a shit director to force the public to watch it in this way. Not pleasing to the eye at all. Ride in 16:9 was a blessing. At least the video actually looks good though. I'm really excited. -
Very excited to know if Lily Rabe's character is good or bad. I love Emma Robert's acting in this. I hope she develops a good friendship with Taissa's character. Good start to the season so far!

How many Lana songs do you have?
lflflflflflflflflflf replied to Littlemonster123's topic in Lana Thoughts
Over 300. I don't really keep count, hahaha. I just want the collection to be complete to my own standards. You can collect as many lives and remixes as you want really. -
So, updated lyrics? Methamphetamines, pink flamingo. Blue fifties queen. Blue oyster clove. For the big dream why don't we go to Coney Island? "No such person"* One day among the ballad sung The record spins blue fifties song The veranda looks Ocean Grove Neon palm sway. What's happening? Where did we go? The Jersey Shore was long ago As with our hopes and ocean Grove And so I bid you farewell. *Elvis Presley, Return To Sender (1962)
