Peter Capaldi has officially been announced as the 12th Doctor! How excited are you for the Christmas special/new season of DW? How many of you are fans?

They're playing SS in loads of clubs around town right now. Very hot. It's on their regular playlist and I hear it on the radio all the time!

I'm really glad that her old songs leak. If she's not going to do anything with them, no matter how terrible they are, I'm always interested to hear them. I like hearing the development of a song from its skeletal a capella framework to being a fully produced track so, yeah. I like the leaks. When Black Beauty leaked and quickly got removed I was unsure whether it actually leaked or not. I didn't want to ruin the only song confirmed for the album for myself but at the same time... if the song did properly leak and everyone was talking about it, I'd want to join in on the conversation. So I listened to the song and I enjoyed it. I thought BB leaking would hurt the album (maybe not the sales, but the excitement/anticipation) but I was wrong. It only made me more excited and reading the positive reviews about the song on music blogs and review sites felt good and made me really proud of Lana. Same for AFFA. I wasn't that bothered on the other three songs because I don't think they're good enough to re-use for the new album anyway. Lana's not really a fan of reusing songs with the exception of the whole BTD album and Yayo for Paradise. I didn't want BB to leak because this is really the first time that Lana will be writing new music instead of relying on her old lyrics and themes. So i was very excited to hear her working up new ideas. But at the end of it though, I am glad we all got to hear BB. I wouldn't want any more new-album songs to leak from now until very close the release date. But keep the old songs coming. On, So Legit... hoarders and blogs have been talking about it for a few weeks leading up to it's leaking date so I think it was just a badly timed coincidence.

I'm still figuring them out but I wanted to posted what I got anyway. I'm doing the bridges and Starry Eyed now! I'll do them later lol!

Someone posted 'it' a few weeks ago. The first few words sounded like Lana's voice but it wasn't Lana.

But it's in a poem by an author that she counts as one of her songwriting inspirations! If it's not a song title then

Yeah! 'I sing the body electric' is a lyric too actually, so maybe this latest one is also a lyric. I dunno, it's just a trend that I noticed about her Twitter. But it's definitely interesting to talk about- at least to me anyway!

I wanted to start a new thread about her Twitter description (idk I think my opinions matter; excuse me haha) because I just wanted to talk about what 'American poet. Angel headed hipster' could possibly mean. She had 'I SING THE BODY ELECTRIC' as her Twitter description and that turned out to be a song title (now shortened though). So I thought... what if 'American Poet' and 'Angel Headed Hipster' were song titles too? I don't think she would describe herself as a 'poet' though she's said she was a 'writer' many times. Angel Headed Hipster is from 'Howl' (Big Bad Wolf, anyone?) by Allen Ginsberg and I'm pretty sure Lana's said that Ginsberg, like Whitman, was one of her inspirations. If they were song titles, I would imagine AP would be about poets she admires and AHH would be an ode to Ginsberg. Thoughts?
