Daytona Meth FYI. For those wanting a ranking of [ALL] songs, I did that last year at the end of 2012 and got pretty interesting results. A year has passed and we've gained more members than ever so I plan on doing one at the start of November of this year. This one is solely for 2013 leaks!

Apparently remaster = equalisation these days, ahahaha. Just to be clear: if you remaster something you're working with the original project .wav/.aiff files (or stems.) Boosting the bass (or whatever it is you do on Garageband) on an MP3 ripped from a Youtube video doesn't count as remastering. Though the audio might 'sound' better, all you're doing is making parts louder and quieter. You can say it's been 'processed' or 'edited' though. Remaster already has a clear definition. Say a movie studio wanted to release a Blu-Ray of a film released the 1980s. They wouldn't rip the VHS, increase contrast a little bit and call it 'remastered' would they? They would have to go back to the original film footage, rescan it in HD and then /re/ /master/ every little detail to how they want it. Likewise for audio. Remaster isn't the right word to use unless you're a legitimate audio producer with the original files. </monicker>

After processing the songs in my mind for a little bit, here's my new ranking: Sex Dreams I Wanna Be With You Aura Applause ARTPOP MANiCURE Jewels & Drugs Swine Yes, I think Swine is the worst song. Though her intentions are good, I just don't see how it links to anything she said before she performed it. For a 'liberating' song, it's really beat heavy and the lyrics don't really amount to much. That's why it's at the bottom for me.

I use Screenflow to record the screen and audio, then separate the two to get just audio. Any screen capturing software would work!

The Google trick is so good for everyday things too, not just Lana! It's really one of Google's best features. Also, since Evil admit to having songs since April I guess it's okay to post how I got past the password on Rick's site. Most people who got the songs from Rick's site got it before he put passwords on the files but I was late to the party but- tl;dr, the image URL trick also works for audio files. When someone's website is neatly organised, it's really easy to exploit and access certain files if you notice a pattern in the filenames. Rick had some publicly downloadable songs and their download links were always: '~/[SONG-NAME]-KM-mix-[3_DIGIT_NUMBER].mp3'. So I exploited that pattern and tried: ~/Hollywood-KM-mix-001.mp3 and changed the number at the end until lo and behold ~/Hollywood-KM-mix-015.mp3 download the file straight to my hard drive without even having to enter a password. It worked for almost every password protected song on Rick's site. A lot of website's archives are set out in a similar way, each with their own naming pattern. (Jeff Peretz posted Stop Lite De-Lite simply as ~/Stop-Lite-De-Lite.mp3 on his site. Things really are as simple as they seem if you know where to look.) So if you find something, be sure to compare and try alternative URLs until you reach something (or tell me about it and I'll help ya sleuth, haha!)

I've never watched a horror movie that's left me with scarring impressions. I hate jumpy horror movies because they rely on cheap shock techniques and loud sound effects. Female ghost demons with long black hair in white gowns are so cliche now. I like watching psychological thrillers that make you afraid of something weeks after you finished watching the movie. A movie that still resonates in my mind is Lake Mungo. It's a documentary type movie so it won't appeal to everyone (the movie builds up a lot) but I personally really enjoyed/frightened myself watching it. The film is more about discovering a person's secrets rather than the supernatural, though there are some scary parts in here too. "This trailer doesn't do the movie justice. Based on the trailer it seems predictable, like a paranormal activity movie. However, it takes some turns that I never saw coming. The very very end makes this movie incredibly creepy. If you're bored with Hollywood's torture porns and want a truly eerie movie, you should watch Lake Mungo (as well as Absentia)." "This was truly the most frightening movie I've ever seen. If you're patient enough to watch a movie that isn't full of immediate jump scares, give it a try."

Main point: I literally do not care and I will enjoy the video regardless. Robin Thicke went to #1 with a video degrading women there are a lot worse examples of politically incorrect videos. That's not to say that it's ever okay but literally what do we want Lana to do about it?

Gaga wrote a ~freedom~ song about Burqas and apparently she's a genius so who the fuck knows what's right or wrong with music anymore. If Lana dressed up as something from my culture I wouldn't be offended at all to be completely honest. Are white singers only allowed to write about white feelings/white problems? Idk. If she wants to tell a story with Latin American woman, at least be glad she actually has Latin American women in it
