  1. I read something regarding her tour and the article mentioned that after she payed her dues as an opening act she is well deservedly headlining. Was she ever an opening act to somebody else as Lana Del Rey? From what I know she was always the main act but I could be wrong
  2. I'm not here for her debuting a single during her forthcoming concerts. Low quality footage will be on all of the music blogs and the proper video will come out one month later. Better for her (not for us) to start the new era after the tour or even in autumn and handle it properly. She had recently many medium to low profile releases BE, ICF, WFL and LiB and they just pile up and not in a good way.
  3. I don't want to criticize her yet although LiB can be declared officially as a mess (I hope that has little to do with HM). I defended her cause online more than her stupid team did just because I felt that she was unfairly bullied and she has real talent. I like her and her music, but I'm not a mindless fan that can be annoyed for ever and she has to make it up for us for the botched UV era. I don't mind her not doing promo but I'm not here for random and embarrassing behavior (interviews). I still have a great faith in her musical prowess and I expect a good album. I agree with most of what you said but I don't think that Lana can be compared with Taylor or Perry. Those girls perform their music unafraid and reach huge audiences and we know that Lana doesn't do that. Lana's not a natural exhibitionist, she's not a willing performer and she has a schizophrenic relationship with fame: she wants it at some level but she doesn't like the things that she has to do to attained it (so I think that even she renounced the idea to be a huge mainstream star and it's fine by me). But, Rita Ora would perform LiB on any television show available, and, sadly for us, Lana didn't do it. That's the difference between having confidence on stage and being managed by Jay Z. I would love to see her perform again on television tbh
  4. I like BTD, especially OTTR and Video Games which both have interesting lyrics btw. But reusing BTD and Paradise lyrical tropes on HM would be a mistake in my view because she was already critically panned for her overused tropes. I don't see any artistic reason for her to do that, she'll just give her detractors some easy shots. She always walked on a narrow path between critics and mainstream success and I don't see it differently with the HM era
  5. She's messy but that's one reason why I love her. She had/has piss poor management in my opinion, no vision, no planning, no execution, they just fucked up the UV era tbh. That's why she's facinating: is she who's calling the shots and therefore she is responsible for all the messy situations she's getting into or is she maneuvered by someone like Mawson and others like him? Certainly I cannot blame Mawson, no matter how I hate the guy, for the MM rape video... Maybe LiB was a quick payola for promo, maybe we get a video soon, you'll never know. Fingers crossed that they don't mess up the HM era but what I really care about is the music and not her business choices. LiB seems to be a fitting soundtrack for the movie but nothing more, that's why is disappointing that her management didn't put the song on the movie's soundtrack.
  6. TheWrap is talking about Lana's video "Life Is Beautiful" that she posted on her social media accounts to boost the movie. My feeling is that this is a late contribution of hers with Heath for the movie and will end up as a bonus track on HM like BB on UV. That's why the song didn't appeared on the movie's soundtrack. It's less likely that she sacrificed an important track (single) from HM to promote the movie. I don't think that HM will sound like LiB tbh
  7. I'm more certain about what I don't want from HM. Lana is capable of writing great lyrics. So I don't want any abuse of Americana on this, icon name-dropping (Elvis, Marilyn etc.), red dresses, daddies, pale moon lights, bodies downtown (I really hate this), heavens. Sound-wise I don't want a slow and languid record without any edge to it (UV was slow but cool). I hope on HM I will not listen to bridgeless songs and weak (1 word) choruses.
  8. How big the venues are? I understand that she's going for 10000+ arenas? I liked her set and voice more on the 2013 European tour. The striped back sound with the strings were heavenly. The venues were smaller and more adequate for her voice and she had mostly core fans who loved her no matter what. I hope that everything goes well but 10000+ arenas are a different ball game. I hope she prepared a great show because there will be a lot of casual concert goers who are not as forgiving as the core fans. Anyway, I wish all those who are able to attend to have a great time and I can't wait for you to share your experiences here afterwards
  9. The answer is he helped her at the beginning but her old team is just not good enough for what she is today (aka the nr.1 most streamed female on Spotify in the US). But maybe she likes it that way
  10. I like the snippet enough. But I hope that this will not be a sign for more messy releases in the new era. I can imagine this as a "fake" escapist intro to the album and then unleash some Eyes Wide Shut realness on us Lana!
  11. Hello everybody! I hope that we'll have a great era ahead of us! I see that everybody have some preference towards HM, my wish is that the album will maintain some edge over UV and I'll be happy!
