    *HUGE GAP*

    Sweet/Fingertips/Lanita Bonita

    *the grand canyon*

The " x VB" part of Taco Truck (not even gonna elaborate. She already stated "maybe I'm just like this", so why bother asking :eartha2: )

To any of the Fingertips gladiators...

I say this with love but pls save the gah damn essays. I adore the lyrics of fingertips. I get the depth and emotion of it, trust me I really do. But I simply don't care for the lack of structure. I think the times I enjoy this song the most is similar to what someone here said over 500 pages ago lmao. I play it in the background and twirl around my house dusting and sweeping like a disney princess ( "I have to sing for the prince in two hours"). Outside of that it kinda irritates me when I *actively* listen to it.
Speaking of irritating, I simply don't know what it is about Sweet but it annoys the absolute fuck out of me as well. Maybe it's bc its just not at all what I expected. However I do love the instrumental. Idk maybe it'll grow on me in a year the same way it took that long for Brooklyn baby and Black Beauty to (crazy, I know.)
I wanna let it be known that literally everything I ranked higher than Sweet, Fingertips and Lanita is an 8.5 or higher out of ten. This is her little church girl spiritual enlightenment album and once again, she's giving me the exact mood of songs that correlate to where I am in my life. The three white butterflies line really hits home, as I too ask God to send me butterflies as a sign whenever I'm in the middle of an important decision. I even have a tattoo to prove it. I'd also like to mention that @sportcruiser 's post/analysis of Paris,Texas resonated so heavily with me. When i left home and moved to a different state, there was this very specific sense of yearning for a place where i belong that hasnt been captured so perfectly in her discography until this song. It sounds exactly like what I dreamed it would ; A music box of a ballerina in the moonlight. Genius!

I get you but you can understand why people are acting like that. No one needs to know if you have the album or not, because most of us don't have it. It comes across as you being all like yes, I have the album and I'll be listening to it in full and y'all won't. It's like everyone being thirsty for an unleaked song and then I come here and post: I got the song y'all are dying to get, but I won't leak it. However, I'll be writing a review of it and share that with you.

If you were excited abt finally being able to discuss something abt the leaks we all have, you could've just stayed quiet, get your hands on the album and then pretend that you just listened to same files we have.

I mean, it's not rocket science.

Well i figured at this rate it would be leaking within the next 3 days so I genuinely didn't think yall would be waiting long . I'm not one of the "leakers" that do shit for attention. When you got those leaks in 2020, did I tease you or let you know I had em? No. I just dropped it bc it was a big F U to the leakers who crave attention and tease shit for months if not years on end. So the reason I'm mad is bc I feel like you're making me out to be someone I'm not. I'm one of you, and I just wanted to join in on the fun. I do sincerely apologize for my miscalculations. I really felt like it would be leaked in full by Saturday night anyway.

So now I'm on mod queue bc yall wanna be irritating. So no, don't expect a review. And it lowkey hurts bc i was excited to finally be able to discuss with those who listened to the leaks about whether fingertips and sweet are as good as you all say :/

also if anyone uploads anything that says hmd exclusive it's NOT me. Some people don't understand sarcasm I suppose.  Call me dramatic whatever blah blah. I love interacting with most of you. But I'll catch you on the 24th I guess

starting to think they were lying about having the vinyl lol :headache:

Wait hold tf up I literally said I was joking about leaking. Why tf would I leak the album after already having a whole investigation on me and my friends with the 2020 leaks. Bffr. And NO I'm not uploading anything to [removed], not even to joke with yall. Whoever is doing that is setting me up. We predicted this 3 pages ago.

mod note: don't say where to find leaks

  5. I claimed Sweet. Before I listen, can someone take an educated guess at whether I'll love it? For an example of my taste, Beautiful (strings version) - I really love the lyrics, melody and piano. The topic of the song also hits me pretty hard. Being at a point in a relationship where you're ready to walk away but giving them one last chance to take you as you are.

From the lyrics ive seen, I get a strong feeling this one will hit me. Idk if that's enough to help gauge my taste

Edit: I also really love the invisible part of AW. Hits close to home. Hope that helps determine any suggestions

But the point is, we live and we learn!

    ANYWAY!

Got my friend who's not a stan, but enjoys some of her music (he LOVES A&W) to listen to Fingertips and Sweet. He said it's boring...which means I'm gonna absolutely love it :true: always good to keep a hetero who listens to the radio on hand.

  7. Everyone getting uncomfortable with the political topic and wanting it to be moved to the random discussion thread...what if that I told you that was apart of her goal with this album? To get into the nitty gritty. Unpack the trauma. Discuss the uncomfortable topics instead of shying away from them. She's putting it all on the table. I mean, me and a few others (i think @DCooper was included) had a really insightful and imho meaningful discussion about religion when A&W dropped. Like think about... this 90% Gay ass forum, respectfully discussing things that we'd usually just immediately dismiss. Its all thanks to her, and I think it's about damn time :true: very excited to open the floodgates of discussion when the album drops
