All we really ask for is more transparency and to actually try a bit with the artwork as it really is lazy of her and spoils her work. We are free to criticise any art including Lana’s, that does not mean we are ungrateful, making music is a privileged job it’s not like she’s going down the coal mines or something risking her life. I’m still kind of mad she changed the album title…’Rock Candy Sweet’ fit’s in her discography so well. It sounds like an album title….Blue Banisters sounds like something I’d ask for at the DIY store…like no it’s not album title material.

This sounds like a background track from a Netflix teen romance movie. Nothing special but cute, I don’t think this will get to number 1 it’s just really boring for the general public but she does have a strong fanbase.

Can’t believe Lana is on her 8th album in 10 years and Lorde has not even put out her third. I honestly think it’s hurt her relevancy, releasing every 4 years is becoming old fashioned. Fans need music every 18 months at the max these days,

I’m convinced Lana made a deal with them after Norman, that she could put out two albums with covers of her choice. Hopefully after this she will be back to properly produced covers. You could say she’s flying off the banister

I think I’ve worked out what Blue Banisters actually means. It’s taken from the concept of the "thin blue line". Which refers to how the police are the the ‘thin blue line’ which keeps society from descending into riots, violence and chaos. Lana is basically saying she is peering over the ‘blue banisters’ into the chaos, perhaps looking to step out of her comfort zone from which she feels boxed into. The album art also represents this ‘boxed in’ concept.

Didn’t they do that with Rock candy?
