I want to at least make the thread so we all can start thinking and planning our lists! Every year, I put all songs, albums, and music videos from my artists/music I listen to released within the year in a Google Doc, and I rank my top 25, top 10, and top 10 respectively. Since I am not done with my lists and the year is not quite over yet, I am leaving this blank for the time being, but will try and show the structure at least. I'm very curious to know what your picks will be. I love spending a lot of time comparing projects and songs and stuff, so consider spending some time on this and have fun (aka make yourself go crazy) by selecting your favs! Gravitate Posted December 10, 2021 Posted December 10, 2021 My favorite song this year was probably Text Book or Happier Than Ever by Billie Eilish. Both are so great it would be hard for me to just choose one. Text Book is such a beautiful opener. When it was released as a single, I would’ve never expected it to work as well as it does for the opening track. The production slowly building up throughout the song makes it impossible to be bored. It’s truly a masterpiece. Happier Than Ever is just a mf bop. We want rock Billie. Edit: Now that I’m thinking about it, I’m adding all of BB and most of COCC to my top song this year.
