theres also this one where its more of an unreleased explicit version rather than a demo but its included

 

nd the demo for this song is just all around better (different lyrics, slightly diff production etc)

I'll never forgive Tame Impala for releasing a new mix of Borderline for the album and removing the single from streaming. It was perfect!

This is THE definitive version of Silver Springs for me. The final version doesn’t do this song enough justice imo. The intensifying repetition of the last two lines really adds to the song and drives it home for me.

The only Lana songs where I truly believe the demos are better than the original are Lolita and Lust For Life  For other artists though, as much as I love the Extraordinary Machine (Fiona Apple) that was released, the Jon Brion produced version of it is fucking incredible. I've been listening to a lot of Nirvana demos lately as well and I really love them

oh i know what youre talkign about. 

the album sampler just has a longer inst in the bridge and she kinda adlibs over it.

i prefer that to the album version

Plenty that I can't choose from either, like which Lolita, Million Dollar Man, TIWMUG, Mermaid Motel,

And some where I prefer something in the demo, but not the whole demo overall- the Drive bridge > Ride bridge, and that Summertime Sadness demo where it goes heavy at the end. 

 

 

From other artists, one that really gets to me is how much better both Time To Dance demos by P!ATD are. Some Evanescence demos from Fallen that I think had better guitar, piano or electronic parts than the album versions too.
