I agree it was the right move but I will die on the hill that stylistically MARINA DIAMANDIS would’ve been better to avoid all the metadata mixups with the billions of other Marina’s and for a carry through of the Diamonds. Plus it reminds us that she’s Greek which she has never actually talked about!

well that makes sense. But i don’t really trust what Marina thinks to be a concept tbh it will probably be just a bunch of songs “thematically” similar. To be quite honest I think TFJ was a concept album as well

Im starting to think Marina has always been kinda vapid and shallow and changes personality kinda based on what’s popular online and that worked for a few years but now that she’s basing her personality off of instagram and TikTok brain rot it’s showing. Like you cannot tell her apart from any generic millennial woman she has nothing of substance to say

timeline from the wiki:
march - revealed she wrote 15 songs but only recorded 14
april - wanted to add 7 songs
may - thought of a 'new name' and wanted 4-5 songs, mentioned she had 'a few' songs that didn't make the tracklist but were 'really fitting' for the repackage
june - unsure about a repackage, but we'd 'definitely' get 1 more song from the (original?) froot sessions
july - in the studio
august - an interview was published where she said she'd scrapped the repackage (not sure when the interview took place though)

now we know that wytac was recorded maybe she went back to finish that? true colours og file leaked and that had metadata of 2014 so it was not for the repackage. I think it was for the worlds aids day thing, and probably recorded about the time as the acoustics? the production sounds similar to me.

she was kind of busy with touring and everything so maybe she realised how unrealistic her plans were on her schedule? then her dad and other family members got sick and her grandmother and great aunt(?) passed away, she said she was essentially 'trapped' on tour
