Sweet Carolina made sense in the context of Blue Banisters, but it seems clear that Rob's piano skills aren't far beyond knowing some chords and playing their arpegios and not a lot more than that.

 

I guess its got a big affective/community value for Lana and the whole Grant family, but I honestly don't think the whole thing has much interest in musical terms.

omg... I really didn't expect to love this track so much, it's so ethereal and once again her music is somehow making me tear up and feel things without being able to put a finger on why

it felt like a slower version of white dress with less emotion, but that's just bc it's not one of HER tracks, it's Rob's track with her as a feature
i don't think it was supposed to feel like a full-on song like Hollywood Bowl does

It's just so morose, and her voice is more grating than it is in Arcadia. It's right there in quality with that You'll Never Walk Alone cover.

 

On the other hand, Hollywood Bowl is a million times better, and should have got the video treatment.
