Make me your Dream Life 89,615 Posted 14 hours ago she's been wanting to leave california for a while now if u go by what her music alludes. nfr opened up a kind of vulnerability to start if u listened in between the lines. lmlylaw's written plain as day. to getting married and living by lousiana(?), fishtails from ob. thematically, at least from her music perspective. this can still pretty much coincide w a potential heavier feeling of a southern gothic, but at the same time, be a completely separate stance. precautions and considerations to be thought of and acted upon, we might see an added thought/song like how Coachella was added during the LFL era. though, and communities aside, I also wouldn't be surprised if she didn't mention this at all.

helloheaven 615 Posted 13 hours ago 7 minutes ago, honeymoon is alive said: so you think a woman’s ideals is defined by her man yes, they are. her beliefs reflect who she chooses to align herself with; what she chooses not to say. white women are defined by historically choosing the comfort of their privilege and the status quo over disarming the oppressor. Using the facade of feminine grace and quietness to preserve power and capital. “I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro’s great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizens Councillor or the Ku Klux Klanner but the white moderate who is more devoted to order than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says, “I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can’t agree with your methods of direct action”; who paternalistically feels that he can set the timetable for another man’s freedom; who lives by the myth of time; and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a “more convenient season.” Shallow understanding from people of goodwill is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will. Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection.” - Martin Luther King, Jr.
JerryLDR 6 Posted 12 hours ago for a kind reminder, the IG link related to the statement that "In a journal entry dated March 28th, 2023 posted on Instagram, Jack Antonoff wrote that 'Lana refuses to leave [the studio]' " is now dead but I managed to find a post by a fan page that posted about this around that time (the post is on July 4, 2023). Credited Niel Krug. This is probably the only direct proof that I can find. According to the post, these words appeared on a diary on a computer screen. Such format of writing also appeared in a post by Niel Krug dated June 13, 2024.

I wonder if we'll hear any of that or if these sessions are scrapped for now. Didn't Jack also say in an interview soon after Ocean Blvd they were venturing into uncharted territory, musically?

It’s about to almost be a whole year since Lana announced Lasso and posted that Henry snippet and yet we’re still contemplating if this album will be released by May… what do we think TRPWS pre release or NFR pre release in terms of agonizing waits?
ChaoticLipster 24,778 Posted 8 hours ago The only thing I somewhat believe is the album title and the release date. Everything else I don’t believe for a second,..it’s not even on a Friday! My guess is that the single will drop around May, with the album possibly coming out in September, unfortunately. Lana can change anything she likes, but she doesn’t have the decency to update her fans. Announcing something is coming out or even on a certain date, letting that date pass, and saying absolutely nothing numerous times is pretty disrespectful towards her fan base. All she has to do is say, 'It's delayed' or 'Change of plans.' It’s not particularly hard. She’s the only artist I know who does this. It’s not the end of the world or that deep, just annoying…but I’d never fuck with my fans that way if I was an artist as big as her. 4 Quote Arches are Illusions solid at first glance

Make me your Dream Life 89,615 Posted 4 hours ago this might be a predictable answer, but ob, and blue banisters, among the other albums are still something very much here to look back from and enjoy. and I personally don't think that it's a nice thing to keep fans in the dark, or not be as clear and direct, structured w communication, but this is how she's been w her releases. we had snippets in nfr, and a whole lot of users would complain bc we didn't get the music. and I understand the wait, but it became disproportionate and plain repetitive w the complaining. this wait probably is worse. and add to the fact that she actually really does care about wanting to present something of quality, and what her fans think (black bathing suit, arcadia etc.) so in that vein of thinking, she's probably tuned out a lot bc it can get a bit much having a lot of people, fans no less, figuratively breathing down your neck when the understanding of boundaries/ of celebrity isn't even there. I want to say that things'll be ok when the music finally arrives. but I think we have to understand that she never wanted this level of fame, or at least anymore. communication regarding the process should be more transparent (if/when the process clears up for her cus we know she goes more intuitively than a concrete approach) and that we should appreciate what we already have, and not be so quick to do away with the music. we're here for the quality of what only she can do. it's not up to us or our rules. we can either make the best of this time waiting, or waste it. that choice is up to you as the individual user. what I personally like to do is reflect on the growth from her music, artistry. and how things connect and hold consistent. since the music isn't here, reflecting on the deepness of thoughts and feelings behind the what's and where's. the why's. who the audience is. it helps make the music fuller from practicing more of an understanding pov imo.
DrippingPeaches 643 Posted 4 hours ago I don't think she's gonna announce or say or do anything until after tr*mp's inauguration to avoid controversy my best guess is one song before stagecoach, may or may not be henry w her lying ass, and it'll be released in march

I think are good when they're done properly. You give a snippet from a track from you're upcoming album, then album trailer/teaser or album announcement, then a snippet of the lead single or any of the singles and go about your business and drop them singles for the album. May not be done exactly like that but I find that more enjoyable or digestible. Too many snippets and makes you feel you know the album, or you're dragging out the date for no reason. The lack of snippets causes the wait for the album to be slow and depressing. Just gotta find a balance
