Hmm, in terms of marketing, announcing the album pre-order on the day she performs at Stagecoach (it's a Friday, too!) makes a lot of sense. But I really cannot imagine her waiting *that* long to release "Henry" as well? The general public and the Lana fandom need a taste of the "country" direction of the new era. On the other hand, a minimalist acoustic guitar ballad doesn't sound like something remotely mainstream at all, so who knows what this woman is planning to do...

I love Akerman. I'm so happy that there's another fan of her brilliant work on these boards.

A single? During Stage Coach? Groundbreaking.

It doesn’t make sense to debut it at Stagecoach; it would have been better at Coachella which was a wider audience and livestreamed on YT, etc. Still think SC was booked at a time when “Lasso” was still a posssibility and they had to pivot and prepare the “Very Special Country Set” they are now announcing.

So if you don't know, don't give up , 'Cause you never know what the new day might bring

This and the fact that the crowd won’t be able to sing more than a few lines… an unknown song can be good idea at a venue but more than two, it kills the vibe a bit IMO. Henry could be a nice addition to the setlist and have a nice moment if the crowd songs along with her and uses their flashlight on their phone… if the damn song can be released at least two weeks before fvcking Stagecoach so people can learn the damn words to it

True but like...this might be an unpopular opinion but I'd really like to hear a clear Lana live performance without the screaming crowd :bebe: I really loved the early LFL era performances solely because I could clearly hear Lana and fans didn't really know the lyrics to the songs back then...

I hadn’t thought of that, but it’s a valid point, sweetie  I guess I just wanted an excuse so she can release fvcking Henry at last. :thumb3:

We're supporting the financial end of LanaBoards by posting our thoughts, hopes, and speculation during this news drought.

Repetitiveness is the essence of any online board, as you know. Even my saying this is repetitive--as is yours.

Exactly. Honestly, it’s been so dry that even the repetitiveness becomes entertaining again after it got boring :thumb3:

that will sadly never happen. Look at the Fenway intro and Tough. Both of those songs were unheard/unknown and you still couldn't get a single clear video of the audio because concert etiquette is GONE and nobody knows how to behave at a live show anymore.

If she premiers Henry (and the second song we're supposed to get (lol)) it's going to be a struggle to know how it actually goes

oh damn that’s true. we need to collectively stop screaming, it’s gotten really bad. i saw her live twice last year and i literally couldn’t hear a single thing from the 4 first songs, then people calmed down a BIT. idk why people don’t think hearing her voice LIVE is valuable enough to refrain from screaming. putting so much money and effort into seeing her and not hearing her is insane

The concept of hearing Henry in full for the first time on a random TikTok with people screaming at the top of their lungs during her Stagecoach set is so anticlimactic after the year plus wait  :bebe:

Didn’t she do a show in Paris that had like 3,000 seats? That would be a dream show. Probably as close as we would get to an intimate set at this point.
