Remember when Chemtrails was the top-selling vinyl in all of England? They make a shit tonne on physical releases with her. So if the album is not ready yet, expect an autumn/early winter release. But would she have really said in November that the alum is done with 13 songs if it's not? I mean, she's not that big of an idiot. 13 Quote

jaesana Posted April 7 Posted April 7 FUNK this actually makes so much sense. New Orleans helped establish that genre. The music down there is so rich. Even hearing that little piece of insider information is a solid indicator that this album could lean towards jazz, funk, and blues!! 9 Quote

My guess was that she's toned down the country vibes for more Americana/melodic/southern goth vibes. You can make that shift relatively easily. Like, remove the benjo, etc. Henry certainly fits the bill of stripped-down americana/country/folk. Funk makes zero sense to me. Could she have revamped Lasso into a funk record within a year? Also, isn't funk more of a Black Culture vibe? That big of a shift in gears seems unlikely to me given the trouble this album was clearly in for. 4 Quote
carmenbelair Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Mb it will be released in may with vinyls delivery in October - November, but it's weird esp considering how in demand her vinyls are 2 Quote

Lana was saying the truth in November, the album was (near-)complete, and it's ineed coming in May/June. The Henry single will kick-off the era, and the second single will drop when the album drops in May/June. This seems fairly reasonable and similar to Honeymoon release roll-out (High by the Beach on August 10, Music to Watch Boys to on September 11, album out September 18). 2. Lana was lying, the album is not finished, and we're in for an NFR-level mess. First single out now because of Stagecoach, and the album is out whenever the fuck it's ready, from July/August this year to any month in 2026. Neither of these scenarios involves a digital release first. Personally, I think we'll see a Honeymoon style release. Seems like more of a low-key record, and I think two singles only ahead of the album are likely, with Henry being first, and the second single coming in May. She said she's got 13 songs 5+ months ago, the first single is on its way, and she usually needs about 2 years to drop new material. I can't see this going the way of NFR. But then again, it's Lana, so anything is possible. 10 Quote

November release?!? Alright, for our mental health, we should choose to believe it’s true: it’ll help not to be so anxious about anything: cover reveal, preorder, second single and so on. She wasnt kidding when she said she was in no hurry to release her tenth album, but would rather get married instead. (Good for her, btw, she deserved a break after 10 years+ of working non-stop. If only she hadn’t teased the whole thing so soon, we wouldn’t be here complaining every damn day) 7 Quote

GeminiLanaFan Posted April 7 Posted April 7 On 4/7/2025 at 8:48 AM, Embach said: Okay but why are we believing jobless Twitter insiders again? Expand With Lana, it’s often « worst case scenario » that happens and I haven’t often leaned into those options because I am always eager for new music from her. Heck, even Henry, I was hoping it would be released last week but it probably will be released this week. So, with vinyl pressings, if the album is not done, November at the earliest, and that is if the album is done by June. It helps a bit, not to be on the edge of our seats constantly and get frustrated, if we don’t expect much coming in the next months It pains me to write this, btw 1 Quote
NikoGo Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Oh so we’re back to the believing fake insiders phase of this prerelease there are so many things wrong with that post. Off the top of my head -funk? From the song being described as sirens with a budget? No -still being mastered but still being released next month? Also no. First week sales are important and they would never release the album without everything being ready, and vinyls take minimum 90 days to press -albums are mastered and submitted in groups, not one at a time to the point where it could only be “80% done” 16 Quote "Don’t forget me"
