and on top of that we were constantly fed a stream of new music. Love (which leaked early little fuckers), Lust For Life, Groupie Love, Summer Bummer, and Coachella. 
 

Like I know a lot of fans dislike LFL, but you could tell she really loved it and I’d take even a 10th of that. One snippet in almost a year, and the brief times she has talked about music she sounds so disinterested. I would have been happy if the album announcement  had included the same snippet of Henry she posted in January. Just something to affirm she’s excited about what she’s been creating 

 

LFL had scope, variety, depth, and dimension. With Paradise and BB, it's among my favorites of her records. There were a few tracks I didn't care for and still don't, but the enjoyable tracks certainly outshone those. For me, the songs really played off and contrasted with one another, whereas on Honeymoon, the overall vibe was monochromatic. 

I still see 13 Beaches as one of the pinnacles of her recording career and don't understand the general lack of love for it. To me, it's kind of an ultimate statement of the Lana Del Rey Mood & State of Mind. 

 

I've heard people say, 'OB is what Lana was trying to achieve with LFL,' but I think just the opposite. OB was an attempt to create another album as full and varied as LFL. 

 

I also wouldn't mind an album trailer of TRPWS like we got with NFR!, though maybe not yet. It would be great to see the track listing so we know whether or not it will include Take Me Home, Country Roads, TPGICM, HBB, or Tough, or if, with Henry, we'll be getting 12 totally new tracks. 

 

If plans are still on track for two more singles before the end of the year, they'd better hurry. It seems more likely we'll get one or none, at this point.

Her poetry book was filled with drafts and edits to emphasize a homemade feel… it is lazy and inauthentic 

 

I’m sure the voice memo thing falls in line with that ideology of it being “raw” and what not and I guess it works… she did say fingertips isn’t a good song so she knows its bad but its about the message

Instead, she's delayed the album by 9 months (September-May), then delayed the two singles she's announced before year-end. If she'd dropped ONE god-damn single before the year-end, at least should we mitigate some of those false promises and delays?

 

Lastly, if it's Henry and it's a super minimalist ballad, then why wait that long at all? It's not like extensive orchestra and drum programming needs extra work.

I was going to ask - where are these singles she said before year's end?

Mariners came out nearly a YEAR before the album if I recall. And she released DYKTITUOB in December (granted the album was out in March, but still). 

 

Has there been any insider leaks? Maybe she is keeping this album close to her to avoid any.

That's a very good point. The girl is an absolute genius, super creative, and has what most important: the soul of a a true artist/poet. (Unlike say, Lady Gaga, for example, whom I find completely plastic.)
 

 It could also be that we're just massively overthinking everything with this new album lol, and critical/fearful before it even dropped. Thanks for this reality check haha.

I don’t even think it’s that. Lots of people already’ve taken inspo from her but won’t really say. Only Taylor was the one to do so, but the gp’s probably just gonna run away w it and not regard her as much. 
 

I think it just says a lot about how petty people can be where they can take and not give back. It doesn’t help that she doesn’t really care much about the acclaim which I personally think is great, but most of her fans are more obsessed about it than her. 
 

But yeah things of quality don’t fear time.

Kintsugi would’ve been perfect if it was produced by literally anyone else, I’m 100% sure the muffled vocals were jack’s idea, or else he didn’t know how to turn voice memos into a song, fingertips meanwhile, sounds so clear to me, it didn’t felt like voice memos merged together
