thank you. and honestly I do feel a bit genuinely guilty for having part in the thread being derailed, but I just don't appreciate how things can be spun when I just felt the need to exhale, thinking that parts of my homestate and town and life are sizzling right now. I thought that it would've been a step forward in being vulnerable despite past experiences seeing as to how it might expose my living area and just knowing my whole life here, so I didn't think that was gonna be the main thing that'd be taken into account, instead of just what I wanted to let out if even thru comment form. 

I think it relates, I can feel it in the air. and the digs seem insensitive, and I can see how being understood a lot easier might be construed as agreement w likes, but I just wanted to express this, not make it about having to defend myself.

@Make me your Dream Life i apologize for saying anything that might've be rude or dismissive about your experiences, i know you didn't mean to do anything wrong, and regardless of how we, or any other users feel, or whether or not we agree, or disagree i really think it's best we just move on from, as it isn't really appropriate for anyone to be arguing or having off-topic conversations in a thread like this

Definitely not fully contained in the next 48 hours, huge fires like this can last for weeks. The main one will probably linger for a while before it gets fully contained. Not the end of LA, but it’s gonna be rough. It’s hard to say since new fires keep popping up but the winds are starting to die down and should hopefully be less crazy within the next day or two

some progress has been made on the fires. the sunswept fire in studio city has been extinguished, the hurst fire has been 10% contained. but also, new fires appear to be popping up unpredictably.

what it will ultimately come down to is how much the weather changes in the next few days and how much state and federal support comes in. biden is now focused on dealing with the fire so we'll see how much of a difference that makes against what is truly a fire of biblical proportions

I empathise, I also considered writing a comment on this thread relating to personal experience/family in the area also, but I did stop myself as I know all to well that sometimes things can be misconstrued on the forum and unfortunately it can feel like you’re getting dog piled when people don’t agree (which isn’t necessarily what is happening, but I think when we’re feeling low anyway, it definitely feels that way!)

Just know that most people on here are not trying to hurt you, sometimes I type a reply and then just delete it, so I’ve gotten it off my chest but still not risen to it or fed in to anything!

Glad to see things are starting to be contained, it was a terrible site last night seeing 5 fires with 0% containment status, my heart is going out to everyone affected.

I hope they are able to contain most of it before the winds start getting really bad again. I don’t live in LA but I visit all the time and me and my boyfriend talk about wanting to move there. I love that city so much and it’s really heartbreaking watching this. Seeing all these places and people’s home ‘s just burn away is devastating. I hope everyone in LA right now is ok.

This is so terrible and heartbreaking to hear 💔

And the fact that the High By The Beach house apparently burnt down  is really sad, we lost an iconic place of LDR history.

But it is way more heartbreaking and terrible for all the people and animals that live in such fear & horror right now and the ones losing their homes, friends and family. I hope the fires can get contained  and that everyone is safe, this is all really sad to hear and I can't imagine at all how it must be to be there right now. Sending love & prayers

I just watched the footage on the TV news and it’s so scary 

There was a person running down the road with two horses 

It’s scary for humans but also for animals <\3

Ive never really cared where Lana lives but doesn't she have a house in hollywood hills? And isn't hollywood hills on fire right now? I hope her house doesn't get eaten by the fire.
