The show lost a lot of it's appeal after Jessica Lange left the show for me. Jessica Lange perfectly balanced bringing a more serious tone to the show, while it still being camp. After Freakshow, the show feels like it's being campy just for the sake of being campy, with no real artistic identity behind it.

I’m just gonna say it ; Hotel is the BEST season.
 

Constantly gives me that buzz everytime I watch  truly AHS’ peak, every single character is just so vibrant and adds so much to the season. The intro is so good that I have to watch it every episode.

 

Everything about it... from the cleverly woven historical figures, to the atmosphere and Art Deco love letters, to Gaga’s genius wardrobe...down to Liz Taylor’s liberation. CHEFS FUCKING KISS!!!!!!!

I’ve only watched Coven and Apocalypse in full, but I looooved Apocalypse. Tried to watch Cult but tbh Tr*mp trauma was still too fresh and I only made it halfway thru first ep.

It took me such a long time to get into that season but once you push through it's actually very good. Definitely underrated imo
