The drums used in the demo were really rough and only there have somewhat of a beat, nothing else. Lyrically, the song is far superior too. The dissonance created in the guitar and synth accompaniments by Epworth completely ruins the euphoric and blissful mood of the demo. Not only that but the drums take away from the fragility and raw emotion of her vocals in a failed attempt to bring the song somewhere. It's just a loud, bland mess. Plus you can't say it was always going to sound like that - the demo was written and produced way before she got her mind set on this jazz/rock fusion genre.
