Yup, aka the early version of Lake Placid. The production of I Don't Wanna Go / Black Leather Moonlight screams Paradise, while Lake Placid is more in line with Old Money, Black Beauty, Earthquakes, Living Legend etc.

An album of course. Actually, I think the released version is pretty much an album already despite of its marketing as an EP, as it's 9 tracks, 38 minutes. That's beyond the limit for an EP - somewhere I read that, in length, 25 minutes is the max for an EP so yeah. Some streaming platforms like Apple Music take 6 tracks as an EP and 7 as an album already, so idk. I always considered Paradise an album anyway.

Also there's plenty of 9-track studio albums (FKA twigs' MAGDALENE, Björk's Vulnicura, etc.) and also 8-track albums (AURORA's Infections of a Different Kind) so it's pretty much subjective I guess! I typically go:

3-6 tracks = EP

7-8 tracks = mini-album (here's where the grey area is more diffuse and it becomes the most subjective, judging by the artist's vision of the project and stuff)

>8 tracks = studio album

This thread seems fun. I'm notorious with my friends for rearranging/renaming/deleting from/adding to Lana tracklists. Sometimes with my own edits of the songs. They always say I'm playing amazing versions of songs that "don't exist" LMAO. Here's my Ocean Blvd tracklist

For me, the album is an interpretation of the stages of depression. 

 

Angst, Sadness --> Mania ---> Calming down. Introspection/Leaning on those closest to you ---> Peace and Hope. With a dab of apathy. 

 

I first listened to this album outside my childhood church, and I couldn't have chosen a better place to experience it. Theres a spiritual journey present here, and I'm oh so grateful that she not only took it, but brought us along for the ride. Nobody's doing it like her.
