1999 wasn't originally intended to be the lead single though right? I would consider Blame It On Your Love to be the first single which was released May 15th. If that's the case, then that's like a 4 month wait for the full album.

yeah that's true but it's still 5 months, a lot IMO so definitely after 2022

I think the long release window helped the album to come out closer to the tour. It’s risky, but I hope she announces a quick little tour at the end of this year with the album as I could see her doing the Aus festival rounds early 2022 then into US/Europe for the summer.
