Stargirl 13,351 Posted October 19, 2015 What sort of aesthetics/mood do you think epitomize Lana's different eras/years? For instance, Born to Die was very glamorous and emphasized the fragility and desire of a woman, while Ultraviolence was a lot darker and raw.

LaSalle 37 Posted October 19, 2015 I think it depends on who is doing the producing. Because Dan Auerbach produced UV and I think that's why it had a darker feel. Not to say her songs weren't like that already I just think visually he helped give it more of that rock feel. Opposed to the other albums that are so glamorous.

Starsx 1,849 Posted October 19, 2015 Born To Die: Vintage sex kitten with a touch of Hollywood nostalgia mixed with daddy issues Paradise: The end of Hollywood. Bruce Springsteen. Classic Americana. Seaside glamour. Dreams became reality Ultraviolence: 90s grunge. The beginning of the NyQuil phase in her music. Musical sedative. Honeymoon: Slightly less sedative. A cliche of all her previous work
