Bonita Posted Thursday at 02:18 PM Posted Thursday at 02:18 PM The strings after the second chorus are kinda giving the strings from Cloudbusting by Kate Bush 2 Quote
Burthdaykake Posted Thursday at 02:18 PM Posted Thursday at 02:18 PM Haven't heard Henry yet but I've seen some people mention it has some Icarus references, which is cool. I remember Lana recently said something about the myth, maybe in an interview or a comment or something, but I can't find anything... am I tripping??? Btw here's the AI overview lmao what the hell is that it just made up a Lust For Life outtake ????? 4 Quote “People change. It's the most importantly remind yourself that just because everybody else changes doesn't mean that you have to - at least not for the worse and not for attention. Change for the better. Try and get your message out, try and find what you love to do. If this is what's important to you then it'll be part of the path that leads you to something even more fun and meaningful down the line.” - LDR

Candy Necklace Posted Thursday at 02:20 PM Posted Thursday at 02:20 PM It’s funny how insiders (bozo) expected us to hate this song but the general consensus so far is positive they have to be rage baiting 10 Quote

Does this song feel like a Southern Gothic song like idk in Ethel Cain-vein or is it just like a song in the alternative/Americana genre like Lanz has usually done 2. Are the strings loud like in idk Cola or Born To Die or are the strings more quiet like in Ocean Blvd and Violets For Roses? Spoiler no Southern Gothic, but I get a lot of soft Country vibes, especially from the lyrics, I think there's also a pedal steel guitar involved somewhere... the strings can be compared at most to Thunder 7 Quote
jackritchiexo Posted Thursday at 02:21 PM Posted Thursday at 02:21 PM lyrically it feels very born to die X ocean blvd to me idk how to describe it 10 Quote

Evergreen Posted Thursday at 02:21 PM Posted Thursday at 02:21 PM The sound of the strings right after the 2nd chorus. We've never heard something like that from her before. I need the 2nd single and album pre-order NOW! 9 Quote

PARADIXO Posted Thursday at 02:22 PM Posted Thursday at 02:22 PM I only heard it once so far but oh my god it literally melted my heart... the melody flows so beautifully. The instrumentation is unpolished and raw like we expected but the overall composition and THE STRINGSSSS give it such a lush vibe. It's playful, intimate and femenine like Margaret, like a sweet little tune to dance to with your partner. I already imagine a MV... 7 Quote
