Haven't heard Henry yet but I've seen some people mention it has some Icarus references, which is cool. I remember Lana recently said something about the myth, maybe in an interview or a comment or something, but I can't find anything... am I tripping???

Btw here's the AI overview lmao what the hell is that it just made up a Lust For Life outtake ?????

Quoting myself cause I was stupid and had thought Lana said something about the myth before but it was just something I wrote *myself* and my brain made me think it was something I saw somewhere cause I kinda didn't like how the thing turned out and discarded it.

Anyway it's cute she mentioned it, I think a lot about the story and the meaning behind it

“People change. It's the most importantly remind yourself that just because everybody else changes doesn't mean that you have to - at least not for the worse and not for attention. Change for the better. Try and get your message out, try and find what you love to do. If this is what's important to you then it'll be part of the path that leads you to something even more fun and meaningful down the line.”

If You Lie Down With Me’s sibling for sure :true:

Omg I saw people comparing Ocean Blvd with IYLDWM and now with

Spoiler

Henry Come On, does that mean that we have a trilogy now :shock2:

Or we cracked the code that every lead is going to sound like IYLDWM

I mean Henry, c'mon... I never really expected Lasso to sound like a classic country album (even though the genre is versatile) because I knew it would have that Lana Del Rey je ne sais quoi thingy that would somehow make it sound interesting :oopna2:

I mean, we already have Blue Jeans and Wait for Life that have that heavy country vibe without sounding like the typical boring country stereotype. I think if the whole album sounded like Breaking Up Slowly (album version, not live rendition) then yeah, it'd be a bore :judgingu3:

But if Henry is a sign of what's to come, production wise... :delish:

My rose garden dreams set on fire by fiends... :illumilana2:

this part definitely reminds me of a lot of "Text Book" :deadbanana:

Huh? Thank God, this sounds nothing like Text Book or any of the Blue Banisters track. Lord had mercy. Phew!

Praying that the other 12 tracks have not a single moment that reminds of me BB. #SorryBBFans #NotSorry

I hear echoes of:

There are violets in your eyes
There are guns that blaze around you
There are roses in between my thighs
And fire that surrounds you

OMG IT’S ACTUALLY COMING OUT TOMORROW IN THE US?! 😭 I was afraid to believe

soooo those who’ve heard it, how hyped should we be?

Spoiler

I would say very hyped, I had low expectations and ended up loving it. Forget about how the snippet sounds

So if you don't know, don't give up , 'Cause you never know what the new day might bring

unpopular opinion but i prefer this over the trap upbeat songs some of yall grovel over

like yes mature queen

I mean, I love this, and I love Tough, too. The two can co-exist (even on the same record). They both sound very mature to me. It's just that one is for listening at home or in your car, and the other with your friends/on a night out.

I'm a bit scared about this song live bc the vocals are sooo quiet and the chorus uses so much head voice and has this effect of "barely reaching the notes". I don't want her to sound restrained like on Coachella.

I'm glad you hear that straining too--when I say it, members tell me I'm crazy.

Admittedly I don’t get Brooklyn baby vibes but everyone interprets songs differently so it’s very possible they’re there and I’m just not catching them
