Limelight Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 The album's highlights for me: - IMF's pre-chorus - 13 beaches' intro - War's pre-chorus - BPBP's verses - TNC - Heroin (specially the second chaaaaaaaaaange) 3

FKAbrandon Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 I still can't believe how good Tomorrow Never Came is. Me too sis. I'm still in shock 2 http://i.imgur.com/beqkvVY.jpg
longtimeman Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 Ah, thank you, I kind of hear it now. I don't think it's thaaaat obvious tho. This! Also, can you even copy a chord progression? I mean, most pop songs have the same basic chord progressions. Chord progressions can't be copyrighted, because if they were, Bo Diddley would be the richest person in the universe. https://ask.audio/articles/5-common-beliefs-about-song-copyrights-some-true-some-false #2 – Song Titles and Chord Progressions are not copyright protected This is true. [...]There must be hundreds of songs that were hits in the ’50s and early ’60s that followed the familiar “ice cream changes” progression of I-vi-IV-V7. Thin “In The Still Of The Night” (another song that shares its title with others), “Donna”, “Silhouettes”, “This Boy” just for starters. Also the chords from the “Pachelbel Canon in D” have been used numerous times. Think “A Whiter Shade Of Pale.” Roy Clark’s “Yesterday When I Was Young” has the exact same chords as the standard song “Autumn Leaves” but the melody is different, so no copyright violation. Makes for a great contrapuntal medley however. 3
Trash Magic Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 haven't heard album yet but her voice on Groupie Love alone is so evocative. It's magic. Easily one of my favourite Lana songs straight away. "Taking our dreams turning them to things" line is the dreamiest vocal moment ever 5 "It's 2011, and we should all be aware of exactly how fast technology is developing" - Lana Del Rey
Wynwood Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 In My Feelings gets so much hate but its one of my favorites on the album 5
Trash Magic Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 Listening to Video Games. Been a fan for 6 years now. Whew. "It's 2011, and we should all be aware of exactly how fast technology is developing" - Lana Del Rey
C0neyIslandKing Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 I had never heard of Sean Ono Lennon before this, and I didn't check out his music before hearing TNC which I'm glad about because when I heard it it was such a pleasant surprise? I mean I don't have an interest in hearing his solo music, but his voice sounded great alongside Lana's! And TNC is a really beautiful track, so emotional! I'm really glad they made this track! 6
WildMustang Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 WTWWAWWKD is so cinematic..I love the prechorus and chorus ...just you and me feeling the heat even when the sun goes down...
Flowerbomb Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 I literally just realised that in the song 'Get Free', Lana doesn't actually sing the words 'Get Free at all. 1
TROPICUM Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 Omg for the reviews we are getting she's pulling a Melodrama teas yass 2 ???, ?????????
Sagrad Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 throwback to when we thought get free was supposed to be yosemite 9
13bitches Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 Ugh just got an email stating the box set won't be shipped till October. I just got it too If by not 'up to par' you mean distilling the worst elements that only kind of work in songs, sure. I could put a dictionary audiobook on shuffle and put it to an instrumental of old money and some of y'all would still be saying it's 50/50 lmfao.
Marius Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 throwback to when we thought get free was supposed to be yosemite throwback to when everybody hated Get Free and now it's one of the best songs. 6
WildMustang Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 BPBP is not the best song but sounds like a classic 1 ...just you and me feeling the heat even when the sun goes down...
C0neyIslandKing Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 1 Heroin 2 When the World Was At War We Kept On Dancing 3 Change 4 God Bless America - And All the Beautiful Women In It 5 In My Feelings 6 13 Beaches 7 Beautiful People Beautiful Problems 8 Tomorrow Never Came 9 White Mustang 10 Get Free 11 Cherry 12 Groupie Love 13 Coachella - Woodstock In My Mind 14 Love 15 Summer Bummer 16 Lust for Life ^ My rating according to the song sorter thing ( http://thisasongsorter.tumblr.com/ ) I'm sure they'll shift around a bit the more I listen to it, but Heroin is for sure my absolute favourite song from the album, no doubt about that at all 1
