Love the album tbh. For me the emotional/ballad songs are great. when the party's over is still the best ballad and song of the album. Then Listen before I go, I love you, Ilomilo en goodbye are also good. The uptempo songs hit the right spot for me as well. Standouts are once again the singles bury a friend and bad guy. But also love you should see me in a crown, all the good girls go to hell and strange addiction. Wish you were gay sounds a little different than the other ballads but still nice. 8 is an oddball and I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. Right now, I don't mind it too much. The only song I really do not like is Xanny. The effects in the chorus just really put me off and I skip it everytime I listen to the album.

OH yes I'm actually not the one saying this album will be bad . I was just explaining why these two singles feel less out there for me. I still have good faith for the rest of the album! And yes Froot did have it's dud's as well, Electra heart....maybe one song, the family jewels is perfect though . I sang the whole album a few times in the last days and realized this really is just my favorite album ever made. It has so much personality it's insane.

I think it's just that im comparing it to froot too much and that it had kind of high bar of expectations. With froot we got Froot and Happy as first two singles and well those are amazing songs. HH and SS are good/okay, but not on the same level.

I don't know why she would try to make something radio-friendly, when we all know that this ain't gonna play on the radio

Billie isn't perfect, the girls not even an adult yet. But I've seen some live performances from her where she definitely shows some good techniques and actually hits the right notes. Like in Bellyache when she switches between the low verses and the higher chorus, damn. No offense to Selena, she's probably a nice girl but she ain't a very good singer.
