I love Lana but I guess I “unstanned” her a while ago.. I haven’t been fully invested as a fan of her releases since Honeymoon. Lust for Life was cute but I can just see Lana taking a different artistic path now than I’d hoped, I guess.. idk! Maybe whenever the hell this new album comes out it will surprise me & draw me back in. Her current work isn’t captivating for me anymore. Lana’s early releases & her huge catalog of unreleased will always have my heart though. ♥️

Yeah, I can see the trap influences throughout but there’s other musical genres sprinkled in each song that make them stand out more individually, for me at least. The songs are pretty varied in terms of production if you take out the common denominator that is the trap beats. I totally agree about the inconsistent designs for the covers - sloppy but ultimately not important IMO.. weren’t 1 or 2 of the neon singles off center as well? Lol Kim mentioned in an interview that she just wanted to write classic pop bangers. Many classic pop songs fall under the chorus-verse-chorus formula. Like yea sure on paper it looks lazy, but that’s just how pop music has always been written, generally. I won’t fault the music for following that formula when Kim is so good at keeping it interesting & fun.

I don’t get how everyone is underwhelmed with this era. We’re getting cute visuals for every song, she’s experimenting with many styles & still serving undeniable bops??? I think once we have the full “album” of this era, I will like the entire batch a little more than era 1. But... we’ll have to see!

Clarity is so cute! Kim has such good flow in all her songs. This sounds like a cute interlude towards the end of an album.

Number 1 Angel is her best for the album cover alone. Then the music.. spectacular. Pop 2 is amazing, but it’s messier. & some of the features aren’t nearly as good.

This is a good take. Hills is overlooked too often! I don’t think I could make a definitive Top 5 personally until all of era 2 & TOTL Vol 2 have come out... too many possibilities.

I love Charli & I’m gonna support her no matter what, but I’m definitely getting tired of all the features. Especially Troye, can he just like stay at Twinks R Us & leave Charli alone??? Solo Charli is magical!!! I hate having a potentially amazing bridge ruined because she didn’t sing it. At the very least it would be nice if the featured artists were talented, like Christine. Or had any vocal energy & presence at all.. which T**** S**** does not.
