They're definitely limited in the sense that they don't make as many as the standard CDs and it's a little harder to get them due to not being in Japan

It used to be very common for artists to be approached by companies to get an exclusive in order to boost sales in their respective services. There's definitely a contract in place that Lana also got paid extra for so the services could keep their exclusives. As for Japan bonus tracks (which still are very prevalent today), it's so that they can support the Japanese economy and encourage buying things like CDs etc. locally instead of overseas Should've merged the two posts my bad

While this is also interesting - I'm also referring to the fact that the song files themselves were heavily edited with EQs and a bunch of other stuff before being sold (whether that was to keep some form of exclusivity over the original files or to distinguish them if they ever leaked is anyone's guess), and when that person found out they were edited they leaked the songs. So now we're stuck with these shitty edits.

Can we also bring to light how the versions of EMGHW v2, Be My Daddy and Resistance are also really edited and not the real leaks? It's been like 7 years and we still don't have the normal versions of those songs that don't sound fucked up...
