  1. I have a feeling her writing will come out saccharine on this record, too bright and positive and "everything will be ok" when everything won't be ok for so many. I don't see why she feels the need to alter her writing to present this needlessly bright, optimistic image of where we should be. It's also somewhat patronising, when she omits darker songs and lyrics just because she thinks it'll have a negative impact on listeners (????). Curating her albums will take away from the authenticity of the raw emotion she is so famed for. Other users above have perfectly summarised what I feel, but I'm just so frustrated by this. Happy writing is fine, but let it come naturally. Sad writing isn't detrimental to happiness. Happy songs dont make you happy.
  2. I just realised Lana isn't even logged in to the Honeymoon account dead and buried indeed
  3. ... (the title is somewhat redeemed because of how she looks on the single cover art) I hope she takes that shoot and makes a deluxe edition cover from it
  4. Coachella has shit, patronising, try hard lyrics that pander to a 13yo white tumblr fanbase, and are at odds with the usual lyrical content Lana puts out. Sure, we get weird lyrics here and there, but this entire song is cringe from start to finish in its attempt to be socially aware. I cannot respect it. It is so overt, and lacks the nuance her lyrics are so rich in possessing. And, of course it's likely on the album according to this tracklist that seems realer and realer by the minute.
  5. Things that disgust me on this tracklist: - the fact that roachella earned a spot - summer fucking bummer - the new GBA title? What the fuck - there seems to be no flow between tracks - it is ugly - shazam is recognising titles - BAR and yosemite have seemingly been misplaced? - two year wait for a song called summer bummer - no - summer - bummer
  6. God Bless America is the one track I just need to listen to
  7. There's something so post-tropico, pre-UV about how she looks now
  8. This era is so boring just because its completely unnecessarily drawn out. What is so hard about dropping a promo single? Communicating with fans beyond instagram live streams? Doing literally anything in public relating to her career? There's no experience this era. Usually it is very dead, but this time around everything is moving in slow motion and its just grueling. No precise artistic direction, constant uncertainty. Just say/do something! It can't be that difficult.
  9. My favourite album ever. I love the word ultraviolence and all the themes, motifs, moods and sounds associated with it. The darkness, the desert, the drugs, the guitars, the reverb, the echoes, the sadness. I love it.
  10. Not everyone Lana is seen in public with is collabing with her ffs Anyway, looking forward to whatever next and hoping she drops some official info about it soon
  11. She is doing the unthinkable and actually serving bops, now can she add a lil UV into album and I'll be complete
  12. HOLY SHITTTTTTTT I DONT EVEN LISTEN TO RAP/TRAP/HIPHOP BUT I'M SO EXCITED FOR THIS FEATURE
  13. https://twitter.com/ricardojkay/status/868540340034191360 Get that promo!
  14. You can't tell sad people to be happy just because a singer they listen to is happy that's not how any of this works People can criticise this new wave of happiness if it means she's producing songs they no longer relate to - it doesn't mean they want her to remain depressed. Fans don't always have to move with the artist, there should be no compulsion to enjoy a song. You either like it or you don't
  15. That russian site also listed 20 tracks, it's not reliable
  16. If BAR is representative of anything on the acoustic side then I need this now
  17. Omg I wonder if she also felt she couldn't leave out BAR
